Within the framework of the working trip and experience exchange in Quang Ninh, on the morning of August 17, the working delegation of Ninh Binh province led by comrade Doan Minh Huan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, conducted a fact-finding tour in Van Don district.
The delegation included comrades Mai Van Tuat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee; leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors.
Welcoming and working with the delegation on the side of Quang Ninh province were comrade Vi Ngoc Bich, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council; leaders of a number of relevant departments and branches.
The delegation visited and learned about a number of key projects in Van Don Economic Zone: Van Don International Airport; Sonasea Van Don Resort Complex; Ao Tien High-class Port. Up to now, these projects have been mobilized resources, actively implemented and completed by investors. Currently, many projects have been and are being completed and put into operation in 2023, contributing to completing infrastructure, promoting trade, increasing investment attraction, promoting potential and advantages, especially the potential for tourism development of Van Don island district.
Van Don Economic Zone is oriented by Quang Ninh province to become an industrial, entertainment center with casinos, high-class tourism and is one of the two breakthroughs, the driving force of the province's development. After many years of devoting investment resources and promoting, attracting strategic investors, up to now, the technical infrastructure system and services in the area have basically met the development needs, creating a new, outstanding appearance for Van Don Economic Zone.
At the places visited, the members of the Delegation exchanged and shared experiences in attracting investment, especially solutions to improve investment efficiency under the public-private partnership and socialization methods; creative ways in site clearance, recovering "suspended" projects to create "clean" land funds for investors; investment in transport infrastructure, electricity, water, telecommunications infrastructure, information technology and human resources; especially developing types of tourism, high-end resort services, promoting the potential and strengths of the locality, making tourism a spearhead economic sector.
