(CPV) - On behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense , Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien handed over new houses and social welfare works; donated equipment for community houses and many gifts to serve the daily life of the people of Lang Nu village.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day and the preparation for the New Year 2025, on December 15, a working delegation of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, led by Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense, visited and handed over works built by the Ministry of National Defense to the people of Lang Nu village, Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province.

Implementing the Prime Minister 's direction on mobilizing resources, restoring infrastructure, supporting production, and stabilizing people's lives after storm No. 3, the Ministry of National Defense quickly deployed forces and assigned the 12th Army Corps to carry out the reconstruction of Lang Nu village, Bao Yen district and Nam Tong village, Bac Ha district, Lao Cai province. With the spirit of helping with all our strength, after nearly 3 months of construction, a new village with solid stilt houses has now appeared, in accordance with customs, habits, and culture, meeting the people's aspirations; contributing to sharing and compensating for some of the pain and loss of Lang Nu people caused by storm No. 3.

Lang Nu resettlement area phase 1 is built on an area of over 10 hectares in Sim Hill area, Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province; has high and spacious terrain, each household has an area of about 1,000 m2; items include 40 houses, a school and a community cultural house, internal traffic routes, connecting concrete roads with electricity and clean water systems built synchronously and supplied to each household.
