The Phu Tho Provincial Delegation works in South Korea.

On the morning of May 28th, a delegation from Phu Tho province, led by Ms. Bui Thi Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Tho province, visited and worked with the General Association of Vietnamese People in South Korea and the Office of Science and Technology, Vietnamese Embassy in Seoul.

During a visit to InfiniGru Corporation in Seoul, co-founded and operated by Vietnamese nationals, the Phu Tho Provincial delegation was impressed by its services for monitoring, early detection, and prevention of financial fraud via telephone and social media. With 35 million registered users, the system has protected over 170,000 victims and successfully prevented 8.7 trillion won in losses over the past three years. This effective solution has been awarded an innovation prize by the Director of the Korean National Police.

According to Mr. Dao Tuan Hung, President of the General Association of Vietnamese People in Korea, there are currently nearly 400,000 Vietnamese people living, working, and studying in Korea. The Vietnamese community is active in many fields, including personnel involved in high-tech and artificial intelligence industries.

Representatives from the Science and Technology Office of the Vietnamese Embassy in South Korea stated that South Korea invests 4.9% of its GDP annually in science and technology, focusing on artificial intelligence and supporting private enterprises. The Embassy and the General Association of Vietnamese People in South Korea are ready to connect with and support Vietnamese localities, including Phu Tho province, in solving major challenges in science and technology, healthcare , and training high-quality human resources.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Bui Thi Minh presented the General Association of Vietnamese People and the Vietnam Science and Technology Office in South Korea with traditional hand-woven scarves from Phu Tho province.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee Bui Thi Minh thanked the Vietnamese representative office in South Korea and the Vietnamese community in the country for their attention. She emphasized that science and technology and innovation are areas of particular interest to Phu Tho province, and that the province wishes to strengthen cooperation with South Korea.

Comrade Bui Thi Minh suggested that the Office of Science and Technology and the General Association of Vietnamese People in Korea continue to act as a bridge to support both sides in strengthening cooperation through specific programs and projects to exploit and promote the strengths of advanced science and technology of Korea and the great potential of Phu Tho province after the merger.
