The Quang Tri Provincial National Assembly Delegation met with constituents.

Today, October 4th, the National Assembly delegation of Quang Tri province, including the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Ha Sy Dong; and the Commander of the Provincial Military Command, Colonel Nguyen Huu Dan, met with voters before the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly in Ward 3, Quang Tri town and Dong Thanh ward, Dong Ha city.

A standardized set of textbooks should be adopted nationwide.

Voters in Ward 3, Quang Tri town, have petitioned the Government to direct the Ministry of Education and Training to research and standardize a set of textbooks to be applied nationwide for each educational level, as was done previously, in order to facilitate teaching and learning and avoid waste in textbook use.

The Ministry of Education and Training needs to provide guidance and implement mechanisms and solutions to further improve the quality of vocational training schools; strictly manage international educational partnerships; reorganize universities, as there are currently too many nationwide; consider reducing the workload for teachers at all levels; strengthen teachers' rights and amend some educational regulations to protect the reputation, honor, and dignity of teachers; and add regulations and sanctions to severely deter students from violating ethical standards.

In addition, voters in Ward 3, Quang Tri town and Dong Thanh ward, Dong Ha city requested that the Party, State, and Government strengthen anti-corruption efforts; strictly punish individuals who abuse power for corruption; and pay more attention to the benefits and policies for grassroots officials in villages and hamlets nationwide, as well as those who participated in fighting to protect borders and islands.

Investment needs to be boosted to build modern, smart cities.

Voters in Dong Thanh ward, Dong Ha city, requested that the authorities at all levels and relevant departments should accelerate the comprehensive planning of Dong Ha city's transportation network towards modernization; expedite the completion of road construction projects at both ends of the Song Hieu bridge; invest in improving the lighting system on several roads in the ward; and upgrade deteriorated and damaged road sections.

Voters in Ward 3, Quang Tri town, have suggested that the authorities should focus on investing in urban development in the area north of the Ancient Citadel to transform the urban landscape and promote synchronized economic development on both banks of the Thach Han River.

Voters also requested that all levels of government and relevant departments definitively resolve land use disputes; promptly invest in the construction of embankments to prevent landslides along the riverbank section passing through Tan My village, Hai Le commune, Quang Tri town; and invest in completing the electricity and water systems for households in row 2, Block 2, Dong Thanh ward, Dong Ha city, to ensure long-term and stable living conditions, as these households currently rely on electricity and water from row 1 along National Highway 1. A plan is needed to repair and redesign some road sections, curves, and intersections that pose a potential risk of traffic accidents in Dong Thanh ward, Dong Ha city.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Ha Sy Dong, acknowledged the legitimate recommendations of the voters submitted to the National Assembly, the Government, central ministries and agencies, and stated that the Provincial National Assembly Delegation will study and report on their resolution in the near future.

For issues falling under local jurisdiction, such as land use disputes, road repairs, and streetlights, the People's Committee of Quang Tri town and the People's Committee of Dong Ha city are requested to consider and resolve them definitively as soon as possible.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is tasked with surveying and assessing riverbank erosion in Tan My village, Hai Le commune, to consider developing a project and advising the Provincial People's Committee to submit it to the competent authority for approval.

The Department of Transport, in coordination with the People's Committee of Dong Ha City, is tasked with reviewing the road section from An Lac area to Song Bridge to identify the shortcomings reported by residents regarding the excessive difference in height between the sidewalks and the house foundations; and to re-examine the problematic road sections and potential traffic accident hazards reported by voters in order to take appropriate action to ensure traffic safety.
