Dien Bien province delegation worked with Brest province Executive Committee.

At the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong gave an overview of Dien Bien province as well as the province's potentials and strengths in: Agricultural and forestry production, tourism, and energy industry development. In the general trend of international integration and cooperation, Dien Bien province has established friendly and cooperative relations with localities of 6 provinces of Northern Laos, the northeastern provinces of Thailand, Bat-na province (People's Democratic Republic of Algeria) and Yunnan province (China). Currently, the province is promoting the establishment of cooperative relations with a number of localities in countries such as the Russian Federation, Japan, France, South Korea, Dominican Republic, etc. Thereby, contributing to the socio -economic development of localities, strengthening solidarity, friendship, trust and mutual understanding.

The Provincial Party Secretary expressed his wish that Dien Bien would expand and improve the quality of international cooperation, serving the socio-economic development goals of the province, especially in the field of tourism. Belarus has a lot of experience and resources that can help Dien Bien develop the tourism industry, including restaurant and hotel management, tourism promotion, focusing on experiential tourism, resorts, entertainment, sports, exploration and adventure tourism. At the same time, he proposed that the Brest Provincial Executive Committee and the "Brest Heroic Fortress" Memorial Complex cooperate with the Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum in supporting and exchanging professional expertise and experience in preserving documents and artifacts; maintaining and preserving paintings, especially large-sized oil paintings; exchanging experience in organizing and displaying artifacts in museums and outdoor displays of large-scale weapons and military vehicles.

Vice Chairman of the Brest Provincial Executive Committee, Mr. Kravchuk Vadim Vasilevich, highly appreciated the efforts and achievements in socio-economic development of Dien Bien province. The Vice Chairman of the Brest Provincial Executive Committee fully supports the three-way cooperation with St. Petersburg. At the same time, he hopes that in the coming time, Dien Bien province will pay attention to the fields of health, education, and post-secondary training such as universities between the two sides. Medical experts from both sides regularly meet and exchange knowledge and experience; cooperation in the field of culture, especially in museums, experts from both sides can regularly exchange images and information on historical knowledge. Mr. Kravchuk Vadim Vasilevich proposed that in 2025, Brest will organize sports tournaments; he hopes that Dien Bien province will send a number of athletes to participate in sports competitions such as football, swimming, and running; together write new pages in the field of sports.

Previously, the delegation of Dien Bien province visited the Brest Heroic Fortress Memorial Complex, where the Brest Battle Museum displayed 90 paintings about the Dien Bien Phu Battlefield and photos of innovation in the socio-economic fields of Dien Bien province.
