The medical examination was held at Loc Thanh Commune Health Station and Loc Thanh Health Station (former Loc Hoa Commune Health Station), serving about 500 people. Priority subjects were the elderly, policy families, women, children, poor households and ethnic minorities.
In addition to medical examination and medicine distribution, the delegation also propagated and advised people on dengue fever prevention, infectious diseases, and health care for children and the elderly. On this occasion, the delegation also awarded 30 scholarships to poor students who overcame difficulties and loved to study at Loc Thanh Primary and Secondary School, Loc Hoa, with a total cost of nearly 100 million VND.
Loc Thanh is a border commune, ethnic minorities account for nearly 34% of the population. This activity has practical significance, promoting the spirit of shock and volunteerism of the youth of the Dong Nai province's health sector in caring for and protecting people's health, especially in remote, isolated and border areas. Thereby, contributing to sharing difficulties, raising awareness of community health care and adding motivation to study for children in border areas.
