The painting vividly depicts a pair of fat carp playing with the moonlight using rice plants to pray for a year of peace, favorable weather, and bountiful crops.
To create the painting, farmers in Ninh Hai commune, Hoa Lu district, joined with experts to carefully calculate the planting time, create plots, and shape the blocks to create the unique artistic painting "Fish watching the moon" in the middle of the winding and poetic Ngo Dong river.
