Unique high school graduation exam in Ho Chi Minh City: Candidates change exam scores for surprising reasons

(Dan Tri) - On the way to the 2025 high school graduation exam on the morning of June 27, a candidate in Ho Chi Minh City whose vehicle broke down and could not get to the exam location was supported to take the exam at another location.

Mr. Ho Tan Minh, Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that during the exam this morning, there was a special situation that had never happened before in Ho Chi Minh City.

Candidate Le Quoc, a student of Han Thuyen High School, took the exam at Phu Nhuan High School (Phu Nhuan District). The candidate resides in Binh Chanh District, far from the exam site. On the way to the exam, his car broke down, this candidate had a smart way of handling the situation by pulling over to Vinh Loc High School (Binh Chanh District) to take the exam.

"The head of the examination site has reported and asked for the opinion of the Ho Chi Minh City Graduation Examination Council and received approval from Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Director of the Department of Education and Training, to allow candidates to take the exam at this examination site," said Mr. Minh.

After that, the examination site checked the candidate's documents, provided maximum support for the exam in the backup room; at the same time, made a record and sent the exam to the Examination Board for further processing.

This morning's exam also recorded a candidate at Nguyen Thai Binh Secondary School (District 6) violating the rules during the first exam.

Mr. Ho Tan Minh said that the exam site was promptly prevented from leaking or leaking exam questions.

According to a quick summary, in Ho Chi Minh City, the elective subject of the first shift had 97,050 candidates taking the exam, 384 were absent, the rate of candidates taking the exam was 99.6%.

Elective subject shift 2, there were 95,492 candidates taking the exam, 152 candidates were absent, the rate of candidates taking the exam was 99.84%.
