The two friends have an impressive record.
Speaking with a reporter from Dan Tri newspaper , Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai Luong, Principal of Nguyen Trai Secondary School (Nghi Xuan district, Ha Tinh province), said that among the aforementioned candidates, two are former students of the school.
Accordingly, male students Tran Minh Hoang and Vo Trong Khai are former students of class 9E, Nguyen Trai Secondary School.
Khải was born in Xuân Hội commune, a coastal area in Nghi Xuân district, to parents who run a business. He has been passionate about mathematics since childhood. In the 2022 entrance exam for 10th grade at Phan Bội Châu Specialized High School (Nghe An province), Khải scored 20/20 in the specialized mathematics subject.
As a result, the outstanding male student became one of the five candidates to achieve a perfect score in the specialized subject and the only candidate to achieve a perfect score in the entrance exam for the specialized mathematics class at this prestigious school (the other four students went to the specialized computer science class).
Throughout his studies, Khai achieved many impressive accomplishments, including: a Gold Medal at the Young Mathematicians' Talent Search (MYTS) in 2019; Gold Medals at the International Mathematical Olympiad (AMO) in 2019 and 2021; a Gold Medal at the Global Assessment of Mathematics in English (SEAMO) in 2019; and a Silver Medal at the 7th Iranian Geometry Olympiad in 2020…
