Premier League 2025/26 'flop' lineup

Liverpool, Chelsea, and Tottenham made a number of transfer decisions that were considered mistakes last season.

In defense, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong, Liverpool's full-back duo, have been heavily criticized for their lackluster performances in both attack and defense.

The most disappointing new central defensive pairing this season is Jorrel Hato (Chelsea) and Jean-Clair Todibo (West Ham). Both cost their respective clubs over €40 million but have performed poorly. Hato and Chelsea missed out on European qualification in the final round, while Todibo was one of the reasons West Ham were relegated after 15 years in the Premier League.

In goal, James Trafford was once signed by Manchester City for €35 million to replace Ederson, but he made many mistakes, forcing the Etihad Stadium club to bring in Gianluigi Donnarumma as his replacement.
