The Sai village cultural center is a place for community activities for the local people.
In Bản Sại, generations of people here are proud of their revolutionary traditions. The village is home to Co Phương Cave – a National Revolutionary Historical Site that reminds present and future generations of the indomitable spirit of our ancestors in protecting the country. Co Phương Cave was not only a military supply station but also a shelter for soldiers, civilian laborers, and volunteer youth during the resistance against French colonialism. It also bears witness to a time of war and conflict, with 11 civilian laborers sacrificing their lives while on duty.
Upholding the tradition of patriotism and the close bond between the military and the people, the people of Sai village have always supported each other and effectively implemented the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws over the years. The Party branch secretary and head of Sai village, Ha Van Tuyen, shared: "In previous years, the lives of the people in the village were still difficult, mainly relying on agriculture and purely forestry. In recent years, thanks to the attention and investment from the Party, the State, and the local Party committee and government in upgrading some transportation routes, along with the contributions of the people, transportation has become convenient, and cars can now travel all the way to the village to purchase agricultural products. The process of trading goods has been boosted, and the income and economic lives of the people have gradually improved. The villagers also have the opportunity to develop small-scale services and trade."
In 2022, Sai village embarked on the New Rural Development program, receiving support from the State in the form of cement, while the people contributed materials such as sand and gravel and directly participated in the construction. Thanks to effective propaganda and mobilization efforts, the very first day of the campaign attracted a large number of participants from various departments, organizations in the commune, members of the village's New Rural Development committee, and people from all walks of life, creating a vibrant working atmosphere.
The Party Committee and the Front Committee of Sai village have made great efforts to propagate and mobilize the people to change the structure of crops and livestock; introducing high-economic-value plant and animal breeds into production. The villagers always strive to overcome difficulties, save carefully, and build economic models. Since the arrival of electricity and telephone service, the people of Sai village have improved their lives; turning difficulties into advantages for production. This includes improving the irrigation system of streams to bring water to the terraced fields for rice cultivation; renovating hillside land and planting acacia, teak, bamboo, cassava... combined with livestock farming; and borrowing capital to open businesses and service shops in areas with convenient transportation. As a result, many households have boldly engaged in economic activities and have incomes of 50-100 million VND or more. Typical examples include the households of Mr. Ha Van On and Mr. Ha Van Hoa, who have built farms raising pigs, chickens, and cattle. The household of Ms. Pham Thi Oanh is involved in the construction materials business and pig farming; the household of Ms. Vi Thi Thu is involved in the food business and pig farming...
The people of Sai village have lived together in close-knit and loving relationships for generations. Families are always ready to share and help each other during important events such as building houses, funerals, weddings, harvesting crops, and illnesses. For example, Mrs. Luong Thi Yeu's family, a poor household, lived in a dilapidated house for many years. The local Party committee and government reported the situation to higher authorities, and the province provided 80 million VND to build a new house. Currently, Mrs. Yeu's house has completed its foundation with the help of many days of labor and materials from the villagers.
Ms. Yeu shared: “I am extremely grateful for the concern of the Party committee and local authorities at all levels. The completed house will be my long-held dream. I will no longer be anxious every time it rains or floods.”
The village of Bản Sại is undergoing many changes. The people trust in the Party's leadership, are united, and work together to build a new life. They actively participate in the "National Unity for Building a Culturally Rich Life" movement. Weddings reflect the ethnic culture but are civilized, economical, and suitable to the economic conditions of each family; funerals are organized simply and inexpensively. The village cultural center is solidly built; there is a sports field for daily exercise... By 2025, the average per capita income of the village will reach over 35 million VND. The good traditional cultural values are preserved, protected, and developed. The village has 153 households achieving the title of "Culturally Rich Family," accounting for 84.5%...
