Over the past period, thanks to various investment resources from the province, Tien Yen district, and the joint efforts of the people, the infrastructure system of Dong Ngu commune has been comprehensively invested in. As a result, transportation is convenient, schools and public works are spacious, clean and beautiful, promoting the socio-economic development of the locality.

In Binh Son village (Dong Ngu commune), 90% of the population are ethnic minorities. Previously, to reach the commune center, people had to spend a lot of time traversing narrow dirt roads; during rainy and stormy days, people could not cross the stream, affecting their economic development.

In 2023, the village received investment from the district and commune for two projects: a nearly 1,300-meter-long road leading to the Ma Phenh area of ​​Binh Son village, with a 5-meter-wide surface and a cost of nearly 3 billion VND; and a 90-meter-long overflow road in Binh Son village, with a total cost of 2.5 billion VND. Both projects were completed at the end of 2023, facilitating transportation and production for the people, and ensuring that students did not have to miss school during rain and storms. In addition, from the New Rural Development (NRD) fund, the village received investment for the construction of a spacious cultural center with a capacity of 250 seats, fully equipped with sound systems for community activities.

Mr. Hoang Gi Phat (Binh Son village) happily shared: "The village currently has 15 households/72 people, mainly Dao ethnic people. Previously, the village did not have a cultural center, and transportation was very difficult. Now, the village has received investment in concrete roads, making travel and production easier; and a cultural center has been built to provide a place for activities, recreation, and entertainment. The villagers are very happy."

One of the projects of great significance to the people of the commune is the Dong Ngu Primary School project. Construction began in August 2023 and was completed in August 2024. The project includes the following components: a 3-story classroom building; a 3-story administrative building; a 3-story building for 15 classrooms..., meeting the teaching and learning needs of the school's teachers and students.

Over the past two years, the commune has received investment for more than 10 projects including roads, schools, canals, irrigation systems, cultural centers, etc., with a total capital of over 500 billion VND. To date, 100% of the commune roads (9.5km), village lanes (29km), and field roads (4km) have been asphalted or hardened, meeting the requirements for production and goods transportation.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, said: According to Resolution No. 161/NQ-HĐND of the District People's Council, Dong Ngu will continue to receive investment for the renovation and upgrading of 6 road expansion projects under the district's transportation plan, as well as the cultural center and village roads. The commune will promote and mobilize the people to donate land and contribute labor with the motto "The State and the people work together". The commune now has only 11 near-poor households, with an average income of 9 million VND/person/month; security and order are maintained; and cultural, sports, education , and health activities have seen many positive changes.
