The home volleyball team played very well.
On the evening of July 14, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team faced the Chinese U.21 team in the second match of Group A - Shanghai Future Stars Volleyball Tournament. Previously, in the opening match on July 13, coach Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa and her team won 3-0 against U.21 France.
The athletes of the host China have very good physique. Therefore, the Vietnamese girls had difficulty in launching attacks, when the U.21 China organized very good blocking. The U.21 China quickly created a gap of 8 points, leading the Vietnamese team 15/8. The Vietnamese women's volleyball team tried hard to catch up, shortening the gap to 14/17. However, the host China made no mistake to win the first game with a score of 25/20.

In game 2, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team still played quite erratically. The first-step receiving situations of coach Ngoc Hoa's students were not good and their finishing was not dangerous enough to overcome the blockers on the Chinese team. The Vietnamese women's volleyball team scored 6 consecutive points at the beginning of the match, taking the lead 11/7. However, this advantage was not taken advantage of by the Vietnamese hitters.
The end of game 2 witnessed a dramatic score battle between the two teams. In the end, U.21 China won a narrow victory 25/23, taking the lead with a score of 2-0.
In the third game, the match was no different from the first two games. The Vietnamese women's volleyball team and the Chinese U.21 team competed fiercely in the first half of the match, with the score at times being 15-16. In the decisive stage, the tall athletes of the Chinese U.21 team continued to show their excellent defensive skills, taking the lead over the Vietnamese team 22/16.
U.21 China won 25/20 in game 3, thereby winning 3-0 against the Vietnamese women's volleyball team.
The Shanghai Future Stars Volleyball Tournament officially kicked off, attracting 8 participating teams: U.21 China, U.21 France and U.21 Bauru (Brazil), the Vietnam women's volleyball team (Group A) and U.21 Shanghai, U.21 Slovenia, U.21 Netherlands and U.21 Canada.
