Conversely, the flight departing from Cam Ranh also landed in Phu Quoc at 6 PM on the same day, officially establishing a direct flight route connecting the two major coastal tourism centers of Vietnam.
Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that the opening of the Phu Quoc-Cam Ranh flight route is an important milestone, contributing to connecting two major tourism centers of the country. This is also a positive signal in promoting tourism development linkages, expanding the tourist market, especially international tourists, and diversifying local tours and tourism products.

“The launch of this flight route is expected to enhance connectivity between the South Central Coast and the Southwest region, facilitating two-way passenger flow and improving accessibility for international tourists. Direct air connections also open up opportunities for businesses to develop multi-destination tourism products and itineraries.”

In 2025, Khanh Hoa province is expected to welcome approximately 16.4 million visitors, an increase of over 14% compared to the previous year, including 5.5 million international visitors. Cam Ranh International Airport will continue to play a crucial role as a regional air gateway, serving the majority of visitors to the province.
The direct Cam Ranh-Phu Quoc route will initially operate four flights per week (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday) and is expected to soon increase to daily flights.
