As a key tourist destination in Northern Vietnam and the entire country, Quang Ninh - Ha Long is constantly improving the quality of its services, diversifying experiences, and innovating its tourism products and destinations to ensure visitor satisfaction. In particular, attracting high-spending luxury tourists is a direction that Quang Ninh's tourism industry has been focusing on recently, and it has begun to yield positive results.

Recently, Jeff Grinspoon and John Thomas Foley, two American millionaires in the finance sector, were on a trip to Vietnam to explore investment opportunities in footwear manufacturing and real estate. They visited and experienced various destinations in Quang Ninh province.

Two millionaires traveled by helicopter from Hanoi to Van Don International Airport and enjoyed a 3-day, 2-night vacation with private yacht experiences exploring Bai Tu Long Bay and Ha Long Bay along a new itinerary in the core heritage area, including Cong Do, Tra San, Vung Vieng fishing village, Tien Ong area, and spending the night on the bay in a private cabin.

This is the first group of world millionaires and billionaires to visit Quang Ninh as part of a special tour program for ultra-luxury travelers. Four more groups of world billionaires are expected to visit Quang Ninh. The largest group, with 106 guests, consists of German billionaires.

Not only is Quang Ninh proactively targeting the ultra-luxury tourist segment from around the world, but it is also expected to host many major international events in 2025, including the "Art for Climate - Ha Long Bay 2025" event with approximately 80,000 participants, including policymakers, local officials, artists, environmental activists, investors, students, etc., notably with the participation of about 200 billionaires from around the world.

The choice of Ha Long Bay aims to honor artistic values while raising awareness about heritage conservation and working together to address climate change and protect the environment. It is expected that billionaires will visit Ha Long Bay on superyachts. The organizers plan to coordinate with local authorities to arrange for the billionaires' yachts to anchor at the beautiful sandy beaches at the foot of the mountains in Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay.

Proactively welcoming the ultra-luxury tourist segment, Quang Ninh has been preparing the best conditions to ensure visitor satisfaction. This includes urgently developing three beaches – Soi Sim, Hang Co, and Trinh Nu – in Ha Long Bay, as well as identifying seven pristine islands and beaches specifically for billionaire and ultra-luxury tourists. These locations not only possess unspoiled and romantic beauty but are also suitable for organizing exclusive experiences such as relaxation, kayaking, snorkeling, and beach activities. Simultaneously, Quang Ninh focuses on enhancing the tourism experience by connecting private yacht services to the islands or helicopter transfer services; and researching the possibility of organizing art performances combined with light refreshments in certain suitable caves to create unique experiences for visitors.

Over the years, in addition to promoting and attracting domestic and international tourists to its scenic spots, Quang Ninh has been developing and focusing on building high-quality products, expanding tourism spaces, and exploring the tourism potential of Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay, strongly targeting the high-end and luxury segments. In particular, Quang Ninh is proactively planning to select pristine islands and beaches, and improving service quality to meet the stringent requirements of high-spending tourists from around the world.

With clear plans and strategies, Quang Ninh aims to welcome 20 million tourists in 2025, including 4.5 million international visitors.
