Speaking at the Archbishop's Palace of the Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh City, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Do Van Chien, affirmed that the spirit of dedication to the homeland and country of Catholic compatriots, under the guidance of the Archbishop, has achieved great results.
On the occasion of Christmas 2024, on December 22nd, Mr. Do Van Chien - Member of the Politburo , Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - led a delegation from the Central Committee and Ho Chi Minh City to extend greetings at the Archbishop's Palace of the Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh City; the delegation also visited and congratulated Knight Grand Cross Le Duc Thinh and his wife.
Accompanying them were Ms. To Thi Bich Chau - Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Mr. Do Van Phon - Deputy Head of the Central Committee's Mass Mobilization Department; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien - Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union; Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; representatives from the Government's Religious Affairs Committee, the Department of Internal Security, etc.

Further affirming the national spirit.
At the Archbishop's Palace of the Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh City, on behalf of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front leaders, Chairman Do Van Chien wished the Archbishop and Catholic compatriots a warm and peaceful Christmas season and a happy New Year 2025.
Mr. Do Van Chien highly appreciated the contributions of Archbishop Joseph Nguyen Nang and the Catholic community who have actively participated in building the country, especially in strengthening national unity through many meaningful programs, including community support and care, participation in environmental protection programs, and climate change adaptation.

Chairman Do Van Chien also shared with Archbishop Joseph Nguyen Nang about many important activities of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front aimed at leading our country towards a new era, striving for prosperous development.
Chairman Do Van Chien expressed his confidence in the success of the major policies and guidelines of the Party and the State.
The head of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front stated that 20 years ago, Vietnam was one of the poorest countries in the world, but today the country is ranked among the top 35 economies .
“The year 2024 will further solidify the spirit of national unity for the goal of a prosperous people, a strong nation, democracy, fairness, and civilization. In 2025, we will continue to build and implement specific programs to develop and protect the environment, which is one of many key tasks,” Chairman Do Van Chien emphasized.

Mr. Do Van Chien expressed his delight that Catholic parishioners have incorporated environmental protection and climate change response into their religious teachings, encouraging their participation.
Chairman Do Van Chien expressed his hope that in the coming time, Catholic compatriots will continue to contribute and implement the motto "Living the Gospel in the heart of the nation" in order to build a prosperous country.
Archbishop Joseph Nguyen Nang expressed his gratitude for the attention of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front leaders.
"I sincerely thank the President for his kindness and generosity towards me and my fellow Catholics," Archbishop Joseph Nguyen Nang expressed.
Excited by the changes in the country, the Archbishop shared that in the past, people only hoped to have enough to eat and wear, but now people are striving to eat well and dress beautifully. This shows that living standards have improved significantly. “I wish success to the programs of the Party, the State, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front. For Catholic compatriots, always supporting, participating in, and dedicating themselves to their homeland and country through concrete actions is entirely possible,” the Archbishop affirmed.
Leading the country into a new era.
During a conversation with Knight of the Grand Cross Le Duc Thinh, Chairman Do Van Chien wished the family a warm and peaceful Christmas and a joyful New Year. The Chairman highly appreciated the Knight's activities, noting his significant contributions to the Vietnam Fatherland Front in particular and the country in general across many fields. These include numerous activities supporting vulnerable people and families in difficult circumstances, which have further strengthened the spirit of national unity.

Chairman Do Van Chien expressed his wish that the Knights would continue to make more contributions to society, so that together they could build a happy life for the people.
Thanking the leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front for their attention and congratulations, Knight of the Grand Cross Le Duc Thinh stated that for many years he has been involved in activities promoting national harmony and reconciliation. He also shared much about his work in uniting people and supporting social causes.

Knight Le Duc Thinh believes that Vietnam will enter a new era of development, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world's leading nations. "No matter how difficult the challenges, with the spirit of unity, responsibility, and sacrifice of each individual, I believe our country will take off," Knight Le Duc Thinh of the Grand Cross expressed his hope.
