M'nong people place their hopes on the new communal government

In the joyful atmosphere when the new commune-level local government was officially launched, the M'nong people living in Lak district, Dak Lak province (old) could not hide their joy and expressed their hopes and trust in the policies and decisions that will come closer to the villages.

H Niem Lieng, representing the young generation of M'nong people in Lak district (old), believes in the decisions when the two-level local government officially operates.

Expectations of youth in the village

Representing the younger generation, H Niem Lieng (born in 1992), Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bong Krang commune (old), in charge of youth work, could not hide his excitement when attending the event announcing the merger of two-level local governments at the Lien Son Lak commune bridge on the morning of June 30.

H Niem shared about the difficult situation in Bong Krang commune, unfavorable land conditions, ineffective economic models, so most young people have to go to work far away in the southern provinces and cities.

Now, Lien Son Lak commune was established on the basis of merging the population size and natural area of ​​Bong Krang and Yang Tao communes and Lien Son town (old). I hope there will be more models to support production, agricultural and forestry extension, and capital support programs for livestock and crop development.

I believe that if there are jobs locally, ethnic minority youth will stay close to their homeland and no longer have to leave their homeland to find a living. H Niem cited a specific example of the model of growing mulberry and raising silkworms in Bong Krang commune, which has now brought about economic efficiency many times higher than traditional rice and corn cultivation. I hope that this model will be replicated, along with capital support, ensuring stable output and systematic technical guidance, so that the young generation can get rich right on their homeland.

In Dong Krieng village, Lien Son town (old), Ms. H Long Kbur, Secretary of the village Party Cell, shared with pride: "Dong Krieng village has 80 households, 340 people, of which 70% are M'nong people. Over the years, we have always wholeheartedly followed the Party's policies and guidelines, and thanks to the State's policies, people's lives have stabilized and the economy has developed."

Ms. H Long Kbur, Secretary of the Party Cell of Dong Krieng village (Lien Son town, Lak district (old)) expressed her wish for vocational training and job creation policies for ethnic minorities in particular and the M'nong people in general.

Before this important moment, Ms. H Long Kbur expressed her deep trust in the leadership of the Party and the State. As both the Secretary of the Party Cell and a daughter of the M'nong people, she expressed her hope that local authorities at all levels will continue to pay attention to and support ethnic minority villages in general and the M'nong in particular in terms of vocational training, employment and poverty reduction policies. These are key issues to help people rise up and take control of their lives.
