Comrade Chau Thi My Phuong visited and gave gifts to people affected by storms and tornadoes.

(ABO) On the morning of July 24, a working delegation from Dong Thap province led by Ms. Chau Thi My Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, visited My Ngai ward to visit and present gifts to support households in difficult circumstances whose houses were damaged by storms and tornadoes.

Accompanying the delegation were comrades: Tran Thanh Nguyen, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Van Dung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of provincial departments, branches, and local authorities.

Accordingly, the Delegation visited the family of Mrs. Thai Hoang Thi Thuy (born in 1983), residing in Hamlet 16 and the family of Mr. Tran Van Hung (born in 1970), residing in Hamlet 14, My Ngai ward.

Both families make a living by working for hire, are in difficult circumstances, suffered heavy damage after the storm and currently have no home to live in. Mr. Hung's wife and children were injured by the storm and are now living in temporary tents. Ms. Thuy's family is staying at a relative's house, and has to raise 2 children, one of whom has a congenital heart disease, so the family is in extremely difficult circumstances.

At each place visited, comrade Chau Thi My Phuong kindly asked about housing damage, living situation, current residence and activities of households after the storm and expressed sympathy and shared the losses and difficulties of the households.

Comrade Chau Thi My Phuong presented gifts and encouraged the two families to stabilize their spirits, take care of their health, try to overcome difficulties, repair their houses to soon stabilize their lives, and take good care of their children. At the same time, she requested that the locality continue to pay attention, implement support policies, and mobilize benefactors to join hands to help people materially and spiritually, contributing to overcoming the damage caused by storms so that people can soon stabilize their lives and feel secure in working and producing.

On this occasion, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of My Ngai Ward also came to present gifts to households affected by storms and tornadoes, each gift including: 10 kg of rice, 1 box of instant noodles and necessities. The locality will continue to assign union members and association members to be on duty in the area, promptly helping households overcome the consequences caused by natural disasters, helping people to soon stabilize their lives.
