Comrade Trinh Viet Hung was elected to the position of Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee.

On the morning of July 11th, Comrade Pham Hoang Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, presided over meetings of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee to carry out the process of electing the Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Attending the conference were Comrade Trinh Viet Hung, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives from the Central Party Building Committees; and members of the Standing Committee and Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.

The conference was held to implement Document No. 10468-CV/VPTW dated July 9, 2024, from the Central Party Office, announcing the Politburo 's opinion on nominating and electing the Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term and appointing him to the Party Committee of Military Region 1; and Plan No. 177-KH/TU dated June 26, 2024, of the Standing Committee of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee on implementing the personnel process for consolidating the position of Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Based on the results of implementing personnel procedures in accordance with the regulations and guidelines of the Central Committee, and at the request of the Standing Committee of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, the Politburo agrees to nominate Comrade Trinh Viet Hung, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, for election by the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee to the position of Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

At the same time, the Politburo appointed Comrade Trinh Viet Hung to the Provincial Military Party Committee and the Military Party Committee of Military Region 1.

Accordingly, at the Provincial Party Committee meeting, the election of the Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term was conducted.

As a result, Comrade Trinh Viet Hung, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen Province, was elected by the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee to the position of Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee for the term 2020-2025.

Comrade Trinh Viet Hung was elected to the position of Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, replacing his predecessor, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Hai, who was transferred and elected to the position of Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and Head of the Committee on Delegate Affairs under the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly.
