Comrade Y Viet Sa holds the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of Kon Tum province, term 8.

On October 3 and 4, at Ngoc Linh Hall, the 8th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Kon Tum province, term 2024-2029, took place with the theme "Expanding the solidarity front to gather young people to build a strong association; arousing patriotism; the will and aspiration to build a stable, rapidly developing, comprehensive and sustainable Kon Tum province".

In the 2019-2024 term, Kon Tum Youth has developed comprehensively, creating a quality young human resource to meet the requirements of the new era. In particular, the "I love my Fatherland" Movement has been widely deployed from the province to the grassroots level, associated with fostering revolutionary ideals and enhancing patriotism for young people. The Association at all levels has trained 26,770 young people in entrepreneurship knowledge; supported 16 creative startup projects; provided career counseling for 3,564 people; and introduced jobs to 1,785 young people.

Promoting the role of youth for the community, Kon Tum Youth organized and directly donated more than 100,000 sets of old clothes and warm blankets; more than 20,000 notebooks; nearly 15,000 school supplies; mobilized 302 scholarships, presented more than 700 welfare bags, and more than 5,000 gifts to policy families and children. In addition, the Association also coordinated with the General Hospital and the Provincial Red Cross to mobilize more than 20,000 units of blood and provided medical examination and treatment for more than 20,476 children and people in difficult circumstances; organized 4 Green Banh Chung Festival programs associated with the volunteer spring and donated more than 800 Banh Chung and necessities to people in the border areas.

The whole Kon Tum province has developed 35,190 new members, bringing the total number of members in the whole province to 77,602. Collective members and affiliated clubs are always proactive in organizing activities; the activities of the Association are aimed at many specific youth groups and religious youth, creating influence and spreading widely. From there, promoting the volunteer role of youth in the task of socio -economic development of the province, consolidating, improving quality, and building the Association to develop more and more.

At the congress , 245 official delegates unanimously agreed to elect comrade Y Viet Sa, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of Kon Tum province, term 8, 2024-2029; elected 35 comrades as members of the new Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union; elected 9 comrades to attend the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union, in Hanoi .

Speaking at the Congress, Vice Chairman of the Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee Y Ngoc said that in the past term, the Vietnam Youth Union at all levels in the province has continuously innovated, improved the quality of its activities, promoted the collective strength of the youth, and made an important contribution to the socio-economic development of the province. The social security activities implemented by the Association have contributed to the successful implementation of the poverty reduction program; the youth gathering and solidarity front has been increasingly expanded.

In the 2024-2029 term, the Vietnam Youth Union of the province needs to closely follow the leadership and direction of the Central and local governments in implementing youth work, in conjunction with implementing the tasks of the Union in accordance with the new situation. Continue to promote propaganda, political education, ideology, ethics, cultural lifestyle, and civic awareness for young people; promote programs to support young people in starting a business, establishing a career, developing production and building a happy family; promote the core political role of the Union in building the Union organization.

With the slogan "Kon Tum Youth Pioneer - Courage - Solidarity - Creativity - Development", the Vietnam Youth Union of Kon Tum province for the 2024-2029 term sets the following goals: 100% of cadres and members are thoroughly informed and educated, and 80% of young people are propagandized and disseminated about the resolutions of the Party, Youth Union and Association; Associations at all levels have at least 25 activities/year to support ethnic minority youth in preserving and promoting national cultural identity; strive to support 10 innovative start-up projects of young people; 15,000 young people receive career counseling and guidance, of which 3,000 young people are introduced to jobs; plant and care for 20,000 trees.
