The Internal Political Security Department of the Dong Nai City Police recently collaborated with Dong Nai University of Technology, Lilama 2 International College of Technology, the Center for Continuing Education and Vocational Training Region 15, and Dak O High School in the border commune of Dak O to implement the "School-to-School Partnership in the Border Region" model.
Accordingly, the coordinating units will ensure security and order, build safe and secure school units; organize career guidance, provide scholarships and financial support for students at Dak O High School and the Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center of Region 15 who have been admitted to and are studying in training programs at Dong Nai University of Technology and Lilama 2 International College of Technology.

The units also support training and professional development for students; sponsor the construction and repair of facilities and equip them with technical equipment and resources for teaching and learning; and organize cultural and sports exchange activities between units.
According to Colonel Nguyen Phuong Dang, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai City Police, education in border areas still faces difficulties regarding infrastructure, information technology equipment, teaching staff, and career guidance for students.

Therefore, the collaboration between the Internal Political Security Department and higher education and vocational education institutions to establish the "School-to-Border Partnership" model is of practical significance. Based on the effective implementation of this model, the leadership of the Dong Nai City Police will consider expanding it to more units and educational institutions in border areas in the future.
To support students in border areas, in recent times, various departments, agencies, units, and schools in Dong Nai city have carried out many "support" activities such as visiting and donating gifts, equipment, and learning materials to some schools in border areas.

Also aiming to support students in border areas, immediately after the Central Government issued a policy to build boarding and semi-boarding schools for students in border regions, the education sector of Dong Nai province quickly surveyed and grasped the actual situation and needs of the localities to implement the plan.
According to the Department of Education and Training of Dong Nai City, a review of the 8 border communes of the locality shows that there are currently 36 schools with more than 19,300 students. Of these, nearly 1,300 students need boarding facilities and more than 9,200 need semi-boarding facilities.

To meet this need, the city's education sector plans to invest in an additional 390 items for 14 existing facilities. The most urgently needed items include classrooms, subject-specific classrooms, kitchens, and dining halls. The total construction cost is approximately 396 billion VND.
The goal of Dong Nai city, as well as the central government, is to ensure that students in border communes benefit from boarding and semi-boarding policies that are appropriate to the difficult terrain and geographical distance, helping them feel secure in attending school.
Dong Nai City currently has a border stretching over 258km with the Kingdom of Cambodia. The border area comprises eight communes: Bu Gia Map, Dak O, Hung Phuoc, Thien Hung, Tan Tien, Loc Tan, Loc Thanh, and Loc Thanh, with a population of over 135,000 people.
