According to research, the Nong Quy family has settled in Binh Gia commune for 9 generations. Currently, the family has 22 households, 111 people, living mainly in the villages of Tong Chu, Tran Hung Dao and Thuan Nhu of Binh Gia commune. The self-management model of security and order of this family was established to propagate and mobilize members and families in the family to strictly comply with the provisions of the law, practice a civilized lifestyle, build a cultured family, stay away from social evils, participate in preventing and fighting all kinds of crimes, contributing to protecting security and order in the locality.

Since the model was implemented, the Nong Quy clan has established a convention on "Clan Self-management of Security and Order". This convention has also been amended and supplemented over the years to suit the practical situation. Notable contents include: households and members of the clan must respect, unite and help each other; all conflicts and clashes must be reconciled, not allowing conflicts to last, affecting the solidarity and security of the locality; not gathering large crowds to file illegal lawsuits or inciting or inciting people to gather in large crowds to file lawsuits; not committing acts of violating other people's property... Every year, the clan also organizes for families to sign a commitment to implement the contents of the convention.

In addition, on the 20th day of the 12th lunar month every year, the Board of Representatives organizes a meeting of the family members to evaluate the results of the model implementation; point out the limitations, discuss and propose solutions. This is also an opportunity to commend and encourage exemplary families with many generations living together in harmony, doing well economically , and having successful children; and to resolve issues that may cause conflicts, disagreements, and disputes.

Mr. Nong Quy Du, a member of the Representative Board, said: The Representative Board as well as heads of households regularly propagate to members to implement the motto "4 no's": no gamblers; no drug addicts; no petty thieves; no lawbreakers in the family and "4 yes's": have a positive attitude in preventing social evils; have a progressive and enterprising mindset; have a clean, healthy, modern culture of behavior; have awareness and responsibility towards everyone in the community.

At the same time, the family also promoted the movement to encourage learning and talent and became a typical family in the movement to encourage learning in the locality. Thereby, it encouraged children to compete in studying, stay away from social evils, and contribute to maintaining security and order in the area. Up to now, in the family there are 45 people with intermediate level or higher, of which 21 have university degrees, 8 have master's degrees in science , many are working in state agencies in and outside the province. Every year, 100% of families in the family achieve the title of cultural family.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Phi Cuong, Chief of Binh Gia Commune Police, former Deputy Chief of Binh Gia District Police, assessed: In the past, in Binh Gia District, there were a number of clans that also implemented the clan self-management model on security and order, but the model of Nong Quy clan in Binh Gia Commune was the most effective. This clan built a self-management convention on security and order with many strict regulations; every year, families are organized to sign a commitment to implement the contents to reach 100%. Besides maintaining internal solidarity, families in this clan also actively participate in maintaining security and order, supporting the commune police force to prevent and effectively fight against crimes and law violations in the area.

In recognition of the achievements, the Nong Quy clan in Binh Gia commune has been commended by all levels and sectors. Most recently, at the 2025 National Day for National Security Protection organized by the People's Committee of Binh Gia commune in mid-August 2025, the Nong Quy clan's self-management model of national security was commended, and the clan's representative was awarded a certificate of merit by the Chairman of the People's Committee for its outstanding achievements in the movement "National Security Protection" in 2025.
