
Specifically, some sections requiring remediation include: the Can Loc River embankment (phase 2), the anti-erosion embankment east of the Tra Tan canal, addressing erosion in front of the Thien Ho market area (Hau My commune); addressing erosion and relocating dikes in My Duc Tay, Cai Be, and Thanh Hung communes; the embankment from the fruit park to Cai Be 2 bridge; addressing erosion along the Tien River section passing through Thoi Son and Tan Long islets; addressing erosion along the Tien River section passing through Cao Lan ward and My An Hung commune; and addressing erosion along the Tien River section passing through Dong Thap province.
According to the People's Committee of Dong Thap province, the project to address landslides along the Tien River section passing through Dong Thap province is expected to cost approximately 2,900 billion VND. These landslides have caused damage to household property, transportation infrastructure, and agricultural land. Therefore, the locality needs investment to address the problem and construct protective structures.

From 2016 to the present, Dong Thap province has completed the investment in 42 riverbank erosion control projects, with a total length of approximately 48km and a cost of nearly 4,500 billion VND; and 7 coastal erosion control projects have been completed, with a length of over 28.7km and a total cost of over 1,000 billion VND.
