Dong Thap: Satisfaction rate in handling complaints reaches "100%"

After one year of operating the two-tiered local government model, Dong Thap province has basically achieved stable and smooth operation. The administrative apparatus is streamlined, effective, and efficient, and state management and administrative reform continue to improve.

On May 29th, the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee held a conference to review one year of operation of the political system and local government apparatus at two levels.

The province currently has over 2,000 administrative procedures, of which nearly 49% are provided as full-process online public services. From July 1, 2025 to the present, the province has received more than 983,500 administrative procedure applications, and has resolved more than 966,200 applications; the rate of timely and early resolution reached 98%, and nearly 99% at the commune level.

Comrade Ngo Chi Cuong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council of Dong Thap province, delivered a speech at the conference.

Dong Thap province has reduced the processing time for more than 2,000 administrative procedures by at least 30%, contributing to saving time and costs for businesses and citizens. According to the National Public Service Portal, in the first four months of 2026, the satisfaction rate in handling feedback and suggestions reached 100%; the satisfaction rate in receiving and resolving administrative procedures reached over 94%.

Continue to drastically shift the mindset from administrative management to service-oriented and constructive approaches; urgently review and implement the reorganization of villages and residential areas to ensure consistency with the two-tiered local government model; assess the capacity of officials based on reality; and accelerate administrative reform and digital transformation.

On the part of the Dong Thap Provincial Police, prior to the merger, they proactively arranged resources and promptly relocated equipment and vehicles to the new headquarters to immediately begin work at the new Dong Thap Provincial Police headquarters. Officers and soldiers are determined and united in implementing the merger policy and immediately starting activities to ensure security and order according to the two-tiered government model.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Ngo Chi Cuong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council of Dong Thap province, affirmed that the entire political system has united and overcome many difficulties to implement the two-tiered local government model. The operational apparatus is basically stable, preventing bottlenecks during implementation, and political security and social order are maintained. The decentralization and delegation of power have also contributed to unleashing the potential and creativity of each locality in mobilizing and allocating resources and implementing management solutions to promote socio-economic development.

Party committees, agencies, units, and localities need to focus on completing the reorganization of villages and residential areas before June 30th. The entire political system should focus on effectively implementing several key tasks and solutions. Continue to improve the quality of the cadre, considering this a crucial task. Dong Thap province will continue to strongly direct the activities of the political system towards the grassroots, putting the people at the center of service. The government system will continue to promote comprehensive digital transformation, build a digital government, and improve the efficiency of local governance.
