Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee Huynh Minh Tuan has just signed an official dispatch to the Economic Zone Management Board, the Departments of Finance, Industry and Trade, Construction, Agriculture and Environment; and relevant localities on speeding up the progress of investment procedures in industrial parks (IPs) in the province.
Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requests the Heads of provincial departments and branches, Chairman of Cao Lanh District People's Committee, Chairman of Chau Thanh District People's Committee, Chairman of Lap Vo District People's Committee to pay special attention and give priority to the implementation of procedures related to investment in industrial parks in the area.
Urgently review the overall progress of investment procedures in industrial parks in the province; first of all, Cao Lanh III Industrial Park (Cao Lanh district), Song Hau 2 Industrial Park (Lap Vo district), Hoa Tan Industrial Park (Chau Thanh district) and the current status of approved provincial planning. Propose solutions to implement investment procedures in the shortest time, make good use of approved planning and ensure compliance with legal regulations.

Districts proactively deploy detailed planning to build resettlement areas to serve the development of industrial parks in the area.
Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee assigned the Economic Zone Management Board to regularly monitor, grasp information and work directly with enterprises to promptly guide and promote the implementation progress according to the initial commitments. Proactively coordinate with relevant provincial departments, branches, and district-level People's Committees in implementing investment procedures for industrial parks in the province; strengthen the mechanism of exchanging information in writing and determining the implementation time and specific feedback.
Quarterly (before the 20th of the last month of the quarter), draft documents for the Provincial Party Committee to report to the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the progress of investment procedures in industrial parks in the province or when unexpected problems arise.
Strive to basically complete the construction planning project for Song Hau 2 Industrial Park (Lap Vo district), Cao Lanh III Industrial Park (Cao Lanh district), and Hoa Tan Industrial Park (Chau Thanh district) by the end of the fourth quarter of 2025.
Currently, in Dong Thap, there are 4 established industrial parks, with an area of 400 hectares, including: Sa Dec Industrial Park (Sa Dec City), area of 132 hectares; Tran Quoc Toan Industrial Park (Cao Lanh City), area of 56 hectares; Song Hau Industrial Park (Lai Vung District) with an area of 63 hectares and Tan Kieu Industrial Park (Thap Muoi District) with an area of 148 hectares.
Of these, 3 industrial parks are in operation: Sa Dec Industrial Park, Tran Quoc Toan Industrial Park, and Song Hau Industrial Park. By the end of 2024, these industrial parks had attracted 66 investment projects, with a total registered investment capital of more than VND 12,097 billion, including 12 foreign-invested projects with a total registered investment capital of USD 232 million.
According to the Dong Thap Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, by 2030, the province will establish 5 new industrial parks with an area of 866 hectares. From 2030 to 2050, 3 new industrial parks will be established and 4 industrial parks will be expanded with a total area of 3,388 hectares.
In addition, during the Planning period, 3 new industrial parks will be established in Dong Thap Border Gate Economic Zone with a total area of 1,800 hectares, including: Thuong Phuoc Industrial Park (Hong Ngu District), area of 1,000 hectares; Binh Thanh Industrial Park (Hong Ngu City), area of 300 hectares and Dinh Ba Industrial Park (Tan Hong District) with an area of 500 hectares.
