Infrastructure breakthroughs, urban development in the North.

As the central area of ​​the northern communes and wards of Thai Nguyen province, Duc Xuan and Bac Kan wards are identified as playing a crucial role in the urban development orientation for the period 2025-2030. Based on approved plans, the localities are focusing on completing the infrastructure system, considering this a key foundation for expanding urban space and promoting sustainable socio-economic development.

Currently, investment projects and works that were implemented before the merger continue to be carried out synchronously, ensuring progress and quality according to plan. Many large-scale, dynamic projects are gradually shaping a new look for the central urban area in the northern part of the province.

At the Bac Kan Stadium construction site, the atmosphere is one of urgent work. Contractors are focusing on completing the main components, including the grandstands, the playing surface, and the auxiliary facilities. This project has a total investment of over 250 billion VND; after the completion of phase 1, it will have a capacity of 8,000 seats and is expected to expand to 15,000 seats in the next phase.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Son, representative of Thang Long Construction Joint Stock Company, said: The construction unit is taking advantage of favorable weather conditions and organizing overtime work to accelerate progress, making up for the time affected by previous natural disasters, determined to complete the project on schedule, ensuring quality and technical requirements.

Along with sports facilities, transportation infrastructure serving socio -economic development, especially the development of eco-tourism around Nam Cat Lake, is also being prioritized for investment. The road in Duc Xuan ward, with a total investment of over 220 billion VND, is currently being constructed by contractors, striving for completion and commissioning in the first quarter of 2026.

Improved transportation infrastructure is creating momentum for the development of tourism around Nặm Cắt Lake.

According to Mr. Vo Quoc Toan, Director of the Project Management Board for Region VIII, upon completion, the project will contribute to expanding the urban space to the north, strengthening regional economic connectivity, creating favorable conditions for exploiting the ecotourism potential of Nam Cat Lake, and gradually forming service value chains associated with sustainable development orientations.

In addition, many other important infrastructure projects are being implemented in Duc Xuan and Bac Kan wards, such as: the expressway connecting Cho Moi and Bac Kan, embankment projects to prevent landslides in response to climate change, protect people's lives and agricultural production, and the connecting road CT07. These are all strategically significant projects that contribute to completing the technical infrastructure system, creating momentum to promote urban development and strengthen regional connectivity.

To meet the requirements for managing and implementing investment projects in the coming period, Duc Xuan ward and Bac Kan province are urgently consolidating their organizational structure and establishing a comprehensive service center, with a focus on building a project management department with a team of capable and professionally qualified staff.

Mr. Dinh Huy Hoang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Kan Ward, said: "Strengthening the organization and improving project management capacity has been identified as a key task to ensure the effective use of investment resources, while increasing proactiveness in advising and implementing infrastructure projects, meeting the requirements of urban development in the 2025-2030 period."

With the focused and synchronized implementation of key infrastructure projects, Duc Xuan ward and Bac Kan province are gradually shaping the urban landscape of the northern central region of the province, creating a solid foundation for expanding urban space, improving the quality of life for residents, and promoting socio-economic development in the future.
