Vietnam Railways opens ticket sales for the April 30th and May 1st holidays.

This year, the April 30th and May 1st holidays are extended (5 days), resulting in a higher demand for train travel before and after the holiday period compared to normal days. Therefore, the railway industry is selling tickets for regularly scheduled trains during this period to meet the public's travel needs. Tickets will be available for purchase from now until May 4th, 2025.

Specifically, on the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line, tickets are being sold for trains SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/SE6, and SE7/SE8.

Tickets for the Hanoi - Da Nang route (SE19/SE20) are on sale, the Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang route (SE21/22) is on sale, the Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang route (SNT1/2) is on sale, and the Ho Chi Minh City - Phan Thiet route (SPT1/2) is on sale on weekends (weekly) and during peak periods such as the April 30th and May 1st holidays.

During this peak season, the railway industry continues to apply many discount programs for customers, such as discounts for social policy beneficiaries, students, trade union members, the elderly, children, and passengers with customer cards. Passengers who purchase round-trip tickets receive a 5% discount on the return fare for individual passengers and a 7% discount for group tickets of 20 or more people.

In addition, based on passenger travel demand during the holiday period, the railway industry will organize additional passenger train services to provinces with high tourist numbers, especially on routes from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet, Nha Trang, Quy Nhon, and Quang Ngai; and from Hanoi to Vinh, Dong Hoi, and Da Nang and vice versa.

Currently, train ticket sales are implemented through various methods, making it very convenient for passengers who wish to purchase tickets. Passengers who need to buy tickets can access the official websites of the railway industry at www.dsvn.vn and www.vetau.com.vn; purchase through train ticket sales applications on mobile devices or via e-wallets such as Momo, ZaloPay, ViettelPay, Vnpay… Purchase directly at train stations nationwide or call the ticket sales hotline 19000109 (Hanoi) 19001520 (Ho Chi Minh City) for assistance.
