Simultaneous construction of bridges
According to the representative of the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor of Hoang Sa - Doc Soi Road Project), the entire route has currently implemented construction of 7/9 bridges, including bridges No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 and 9. Bridges No. 5 and 7 are waiting for the locality to hand over the site and will continue to be implemented. At bridge No. 2 across Tra Bong River, located in Binh Duong commune (Binh Son), after many months of concentrated construction, up to now, the largest cable-stayed bridge on Hoang Sa - Doc Soi route has completed some items. This is the architectural highlight of the entire Hoang Sa - Doc Soi route. The bridge is nearly 500m long, including 8 pillars, 15 spans, 2 abutments, constructed by Khang Nguyen Infrastructure Construction Investment Joint Stock Company and Gia Hung Development Investment Joint Stock Company. Mr. Nguyen Van Phu (Khang Nguyen Infrastructure Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company) - Construction site commander of bridge No. 2 said that after solving the difficulty in the site, the unit accelerated the construction progress. In the first quarter of 2025, we strive to complete the entire bored pile section. The contractors have mobilized nearly 100 workers and engineers to work overtime. Currently, many construction sites are being focused on underwater and onshore. To date, bridge No. 2 has reached more than 30% of the total volume.

At the construction site of Bridge No. 6 through Binh Thanh Commune (Binh Son), Mr. Dang Van Thanh (Gia Hung Development Investment Joint Stock Company) - Site Commander said that the construction work is currently being highly concentrated. The unit has approached the site, leveled, opened service roads, gathered materials, organized many construction teams, striving to basically complete the project before June 2025.
Need to remove obstacles
The implementation of the Hoang Sa - Doc Soi Road project is still stuck, that is the road item has not completed site clearance.
Director of the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board Ngo Van Dung said that there are still many areas that cannot be reclaimed and handed over to the construction unit. For the handed-over site, it is not continuous, so it is difficult to gather vehicles and access the construction site. "Recently, the Steering Committee of the Standing Committee of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee to implement key projects in the province, phase 2024-2025, met and directed localities to strengthen coordination to speed up the site clearance progress. On the investor's side, the Management Board will also proactively coordinate to resolve difficulties, determined to speed up the project's construction progress this year, disbursing capital according to the set plan," said Mr. Ngo Van Dung.

Regarding the material quarry, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment is currently reviewing and submitting to the Provincial People's Committee for licensing 9 locations for sand mining and soil quarries to serve the construction of the project, with about 5 million cubic meters of soil and 460 thousand cubic meters of sand. According to the design consultant, sand is not only used to produce concrete for the project but also an important material for treating weak soil for road and bridge projects on the route, especially the section through Binh Duong commune. Therefore, when the site is handed over and the material quarry is fully supplied, the contractors will mobilize maximum means, equipment, and labor to speed up the implementation progress.
