The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said: Heavy rains are expected to continue this July in the Northern region. This will be the third consecutive month with a total monthly rainfall higher than average. According to statistics from the meteorological agency, in June, there were many rainy days in the Northern region, including widespread heavy rains on the following days: June 3-10, June 12-13, June 15-18, June 20-23 and June 27-30. In the Northern region and the area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri, rainfall in June was 20-50% higher than the average of many years.
The Meteorological Agency forecasts that in July: The North and North Central regions may experience many heavy rains leading to the risk of flooding, inundation in low-lying areas and landslides, flash floods in mountainous areas. Central Highlands & South: Thunderstorms for many days, heavy to very heavy rain in the evening. The heat wave in the North, Thanh Hoa - Hue and the South Central Coast is not as severe as in 2024.
Also in July, storms and tropical depressions are likely to appear at a similar level to the average of many years, possibly affecting the mainland.
