It is expected that there will be about 32 passenger cars serving to transport about 1,400 officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers of agencies, departments, and branches from Binh Phuoc (old) to Dong Nai for work.

In particular, a number of transport enterprises have registered to invest in opening new bus routes or have plans to invest in vehicles, increase trips and improve service quality to better serve people's travel needs.

Open new route Bien Hoa bus station - Binh Phuoc ward

Deputy Director of Bien Hoa Bus Station Ho Dac Phuc said that in Bien Hoa Bus Station (Tran Bien Ward), there are currently 10 fixed-route passenger bus companies going from Bien Hoa Bus Station to the provinces. In addition, the station has 8 bus routes (2, 3, 5, 7, 16, 601, 605, 607) running routes within Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City. These bus routes have been registered to operate stably for many years and meet the travel needs of people in the province and neighboring areas.

The Board of Directors of Bien Hoa Bus Station has thoroughly instructed its staff to create favorable conditions for transport enterprises that need to invest in new bus routes, especially the bus routes connecting Dong Nai - Binh Phuoc (old). Recently, Bien Hoa Bus Station received Thanh Cong Bus Company (belonging to Thanh Cong Transport Company Limited, address 604, Phu Rieng Do Street, Binh Phuoc Ward) with the plan to open a bus route from Binh Phuoc Ward to Bien Hoa Bus Station and vice versa. The bus station's leaders are ready to create favorable conditions for the bus company to invest in and operate the new route effectively in accordance with the province's direction.

Deputy Director of the Department of Construction Duong Van Hieu added that on June 25, the Department of Construction of Binh Phuoc Province (old) signed and issued a notice of the unit registering to operate the new route for Thanh Cong Bus Company. The bus company is allowed to operate the fixed passenger transport route from Truong Hai Bus Station (Binh Phuoc Ward) to Bien Hoa Bus Station and vice versa with a travel distance of 84km. Within 60 days from the date of the notice, Thanh Cong Bus Company is responsible for putting the vehicle into operation and is allowed to operate 93 trips/month.

According to the representative of Thanh Cong Bus Company, the bus company has started operating the above route with 3 trips/day (5am, 11:30am and 5pm) from July 1, 2025.

Tran Cong Hung, Deputy Head of Long Khanh Bus Station (Long Khanh Ward), said that Long Khanh Bus Station only manages fixed bus routes and currently has 15 fixed bus routes with about 34 vehicles operating to provinces and cities. In particular, in the station, there are many bus companies (Hong Hanh, Ut Nga, Nghia Bay...) registered to operate stably on 2 routes: Long Khanh Bus Station - Bu Dang and Long Khanh Bus Station - Phuoc Long (former Binh Phuoc province). It is expected that the travel demand of passengers may increase in the near future, so these bus companies plan to invest in vehicles and increase trips to better serve passengers.

Deputy Director of Dong Nai Bus Station and Transport Services Joint Stock Company, concurrently Head of Dong Nai Bus Station (located in Tam Hiep Ward) Nguyen Xuan Tien said that, implementing the province's policy, the company's Board of Directors has actively deployed to transport enterprises in the bus station to improve the quality of vehicles and improve the quality of service for drivers and staff on the bus. At the same time, the company also encourages transport enterprises to register to invest in opening new bus routes from the bus stations managed by the company to places in Binh Phuoc province (old).

Arrange shuttle bus for officials and civil servants

Regarding public passenger transport by bus, agencies and enterprises in the province are actively implementing many synchronous solutions to improve the quality of vehicles and passenger service.

Ms. Ngo Ngoc Thuy Anh (Tri Minh Phat Company Limited, in charge of subsidized bus route No. 1, Dong Nai University of Technology Bus Station - Vung Tau Intersection Bus Station) said that bus route No. 1 managed by the company currently has 10 buses, including 8 buses in operation and 2 spare buses. Bus route No. 1 operates 80 trips/day (each bus runs 10 trips/day) with an average number of passengers of about 1,000 people/day. The main passengers of bus No. 1 are students going to schools in Bien Hoa city (old) and workers going to work at companies, and people going to see a doctor or get medical treatment.

“The company has proactively prepared a backup plan to meet the number of bus passengers that may increase when Dong Nai province first comes into operation. Accordingly, the company will put two backup buses into operation, and even register to increase the number of trips per day to serve the people,” Ms. Thuy Anh shared.

According to the Department of Construction, Dong Nai province has just officially come into operation, so the area and population size are very large, the travel needs of the people will increase. The Department of Construction has been actively advising the Provincial People's Committee to adjust the overall planning of the bus route system, including implementing a number of new routes to connect Dong Nai with neighboring provinces and cities to serve the travel needs of the people more effectively and safely.

In addition, Dong Nai is making efforts to implement a green transition roadmap for public passenger transport by electric buses in the direction of convenience, quality, safety, and efficient operation; ensuring the environment, urban aesthetics, contributing to reducing traffic congestion and traffic accidents. Currently, the Department of Construction is actively advising the Provincial People's Committee to develop policies and mechanisms to develop infrastructure as well as means of operation for electric buses in the province and trying to have 1-2 electric bus routes put into operation soon to serve the people in the near future.

In particular, the Department of Construction is organizing a bus route to transport officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers from Binh Phuoc province (old) to Dong Nai for work. It is expected that there will be about 32 buses to transport about 1,400 officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers of agencies, departments, and branches from Binh Phuoc province (old) to Dong Nai for work with a distance of about 90km and a travel time of about 120 minutes. The pick-up and drop-off points for officials and civil servants at departments, branches, and the Dong Nai Provincial Administrative Service Center are calculated by the departments and branches with a frequency of 2 buses/week. Specifically, on Monday morning, the bus will pick up from Binh Phuoc province (old) to Dong Nai and on Friday afternoon, the bus will pick up from the Dong Nai Provincial Administrative Service Center and return. The total cost for renting a bus for 6 months is about 8.6 billion VND, taken from the state budget.

According to the Department of Construction, all vehicles of transport companies are high-quality passenger cars, have been inspected, and are still within the validity period, but the department still conducts inspections of technical safety criteria for each vehicle (tires, driver's seat, passenger seat, seat belt, emergency hammer, body, signal light system as well as vehicle operation to ensure safety or not...). Up to this point, all of the above vehicles have met the set conditions and are put into operation safely.
