From early morning, many tourists lined up to visit the Hue Imperial City. Many people had to wait an hour to get inside.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Do (from Quang Tri ) said that on the occasion of National Day this year, he took his family to Hue to visit and visit the historical sites. "I have been to Hue Imperial City many times, but this is the first time I have seen so many people coming to visit Hue Imperial City like this time," said Mr. Do.

According to the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, on the occasion of this year's National Day, the unit has opened its doors to welcome Vietnamese tourists to visit many relic sites in the Complex of Monuments of the Ancient Capital for free, starting from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on September 2, 2024.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Director of the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien - Hue province, said that from August 30 to September 3, the total number of tourists to the locality is estimated to reach 120,000, an increase of 22.4% compared to the same period of National Day in 2023, with revenue from tourism services estimated at 132 billion VND.

Of which, the number of guests staying is forecast to reach 48,000, the average room occupancy rate of hotels is about 64%, especially on August 31 and September 1, the room occupancy rate of many accommodation establishments is over 80%. Most of the hotels in the center of Hue city, coastal resorts, lagoons and waterfalls, homestays in Hue city, Phu Loc district and A Luoi district are almost fully booked for these 2 days.
