Located in the heart of the Hong Van eco-tourism area (Thuong Tin), Dong Que Restaurant boasts professional management, dedicated service staff, and experienced chefs. The restaurant offers customers a refined experience of traditional Red River Delta cuisine, meeting three key criteria: "Delicious food, excellent service, and reasonable prices."

According to Do Ba Tuy, a representative of Dong Que restaurant, receiving a certificate from the Hanoi Department of Tourism for a restaurant meeting tourism standards motivated them to introduce typical dishes of Thuong Tin district such as: catfish stewed with banana and beans, fried and stir-fried water spinach, sardines in sour soup, etc.

At the same time, the restaurant will organize activities to introduce, showcase, and exchange culinary culture, making it a connecting destination for customers visiting the Hong Van ornamental plant village (Thuong Tin) for recreation. "We are committed to prioritizing service quality and bringing the cuisine of the Red River Delta closer to tourists from all over the country when they visit Hanoi ," Mr. Tuy emphasized.

According to Trinh Xuan Tung, Head of the Accommodation Management Department (Hanoi Department of Tourism), to be awarded the "Standard Restaurant" certification, businesses must meet the criteria stipulated in the Tourism Law.

Specifically, information regarding product quality must be provided, goods must be priced and sold at the listed price, and food items must meet hygiene standards, have proper processing and storage equipment; have menus in both Vietnamese and English; and staff must be trained in food safety and hygiene, and maintain a civilized and courteous attitude during service.

“Restaurants that have been awarded the standard certification for serving tourists are of great importance in improving service quality, business efficiency, and diversifying tourism products. Businesses with this certification have the opportunity to affirm their brand and build trust with customers, creating competitiveness for the business and contributing to the overall development of Hanoi's tourism industry,” Mr. Tung said.

In reality, after service establishments were granted certification for meeting tourist service standards, they are effectively fulfilling their role in connecting with travel companies to serve tourists. Therefore, in the coming time, Hanoi's tourism industry will continue to develop this system of establishments.

According to Tran Thi Lan, Deputy Head of the Culture and Information Department of Thuong Tin District, there are currently four tourist destinations specializing in ornamental plant and craft villages in the district: Duyen Thai, Van Diem, Thuy Ung, and Hong Van. In the coming time, Thuong Tin District will continue to encourage businesses to upgrade the quality of service to meet the standards of the Tourism Law, thereby being awarded the "Standard Restaurant" certification for serving tourists.
