Vietnamese cuisine makes an impression at the 2025 ASEAN-China Bazar in Venezuela

Bread, spring rolls and coffee - typical dishes associated with Vietnamese culinary culture - attracted a large number of visitors at the ASEAN - China Bazar 2025 held on November 1 at Francisco Miranda Park, Caracas, Venezuela.

The rich, sophisticated flavors of Vietnamese cuisine not only conquer local diners but also contribute to spreading the image of the friendly, hospitable Vietnamese country and people to international friends.

The fair was jointly organized by the Embassies of ASEAN countries and the Chinese Embassy in Venezuela, aiming to promote the image of member countries, promote cultural exchanges and strengthen friendly relations with Venezuela.

The event attracted representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and many ministries, branches, socio- political organizations, the business community, along with a large number of people in the capital Caracas and the local diplomatic corps.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Indonesian Ambassador Fikry Cassidy, rotating Chairman of the ASEAN Committee in Caracas (ACC), emphasized that ASEAN is a region with the most diverse, rich and unique culture in the world .

The Ambassador affirmed that the principles of consensus and solidarity have created internal strength, and said that the fair is an important occasion to promote understanding and cultural ties between ASEAN countries, China and Venezuela.

Representing the Vietnamese diplomatic delegation, Ambassador Vu Trung My emphasized that the fair is an opportunity to promote the cultural and culinary values ​​of the countries, contributing to enhancing cultural diplomacy, promoting international cooperation and consolidating friendly relations between ASEAN countries - China and Venezuela.

At the exhibition area, the Vietnamese booth stands out with a cultural space imbued with national identity, introducing handicraft products, ao dai, conical hats and especially traditional dishes.

Vietnamese products and dishes continue to make a strong impression, demonstrating the spread of Vietnamese culture in the Latin American region and affirming Vietnam's active role in international cultural exchange activities.

Many visitors were impressed with the Vietnamese food stall. Ms. Maria Fernanda, a resident of Caracas, shared: “I have heard many friends talk about Vietnamese bread. When enjoying it at the fair, I especially liked the harmonious combination of crispy bread, fresh vegetables and rich sauce.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Guillermo Torres, a businessman attending the event, commented: “Vietnamese cuisine is sophisticated and balanced. The spring rolls are delicious, the ingredients are fresh, the flavors are light but deep."

Speaking after enjoying Vietnamese food, Japanese Ambassador to Venezuela Yasushi Sato expressed his impression of the unique and sophisticated flavors of Vietnamese bread and coffee, and highly appreciated Vietnam's efforts to promote culture at the event.
