International Food Festival 2025: A journey of flavors connecting diplomacy and culture

November 2025 will mark the 13th International Food Festival (IGF). This is an annual event hosted by the Diplomatic Corps Service Department, authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with domestic and foreign agencies and organizations.

After 12 editions, the Festival has become a prestigious cultural diplomacy activity, contributing to promoting exchange, understanding and friendship between Vietnam and international friends through the common language of cuisine.

Since the beginning of August 2025, the Diplomatic Corps Service Department has proactively implemented the preparation work with a spirit of professionalism, responsibility and creativity. Up to now, the basic foundation steps have been completed, the progress meets the planning requirements. The Organizing Committee is continuing to complete the script, mobilize sponsorship, handle technical issues and coordinate to ensure security and communication, aiming to successfully organize the event. The press conference to introduce the Festival is scheduled to take place on November 11.

The 2025 International Food Festival is themed “Trip of Flavors” – where diners can explore the culinary quintessence of five continents right in the heart of Hanoi. “Trip” suggests a journey of connection and discovery; “Flavors” symbolizes diversity and cultural exchange through each dish. Each booth, each flavor is a “wordless story”, contributing to strengthening friendship and understanding between nations.

2025 is also the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnamese Diplomatic Service. In that context, the Department of Diplomatic Corps Services continues to maintain and enhance the International Food Festival not only contributes to promoting the image of the country and the hospitable and elegant Vietnamese people, but also affirms the role of the Department in building "service diplomacy" - connected, creative, humane and integrated.

Taking the image of the lotus, a cultural symbol of purity, simplicity and depth as a consistent highlight, the 2025 International Food Festival honors the quintessence of Vietnamese cuisine, arousing national pride and the aspirations of a dynamic and friendly Vietnam in the new era.
