The Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association of Hung Yen province is reorganizing its structure.

On December 12th in Hung Yen, the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association of Hung Yen province held its first General Assembly, for the term 2025-2030.

The Congress announced the Decision of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province allowing the renaming of the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association of Thai Binh province to the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association of Hung Yen province. The Congress adopted the Association's Charter and Activity Program and elected an Executive Committee of 25 members. Mr. Bui Trung Chuyen, former Chairman of the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association of Thai Binh province, was elected by the Congress to serve as Chairman of the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association of Hung Yen province for the 2025-2030 term.

According to the report presented at the Congress, the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association of the province was established in 2020. To date, the Association has approximately 3,500 members, operating in 58 commune and ward branches. Throughout its operation, the Association has consistently promoted solidarity, actively disseminated the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations; and organized many practical activities, contributing to strengthening comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia.

During the 2025-2030 term, the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association of Hung Yen province is determined to continue adhering to the major orientations of the Central Association; thoroughly understanding the Party and State's policies on expanding people-to-people diplomacy in the spirit of peace , friendship, cooperation, and effectiveness. The Association will focus on promoting and recruiting former volunteer soldiers and experts to join the Association, striving to have over 4,500 members by the end of the term; and simultaneously strengthening people-to-people diplomatic activities, especially the "Nurturing Friendship" program, contributing to the comprehensive development of cooperation and mutual support between the people of the two countries.

On this occasion, collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in performing their duties received Certificates of Commendation from the People's Committee of Hung Yen province, Emulation Flags and Certificates of Commendation from the Central Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association. Also at the Congress, the Hung Yen Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning presented gifts to 15 Cambodian students sponsored by the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association of Hung Yen province.
