Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Anh Tuan receives Ambassadors of African countries not residing in Vietnam.

On the afternoon of December 12, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Anh Tuan received the Ambassadors and representatives of the non-resident Embassies of African countries in Vietnam, including Chad, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Somalia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Anh Tuan received the Ambassadors and representatives of the non-resident Embassies of African countries in Vietnam, including Chad, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Somalia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, on the occasion of presenting their credentials and commencing their work in Vietnam, to discuss measures to promote bilateral cooperation and cooperation with the African region in the coming period.

Congratulating the heads of diplomatic missions of various countries who presented their credentials to President Luong Cuong this afternoon, Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan expressed confidence that with their experience, enthusiasm, dynamism, and affection for Vietnam, the Ambassadors will effectively fulfill their role as envoys and bridges, bringing the people of Vietnam and Africa closer together, promoting comprehensive bilateral cooperation more effectively, and meeting the expectations of generations of leaders and people on both sides. The Deputy Minister affirmed that the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs is ready to support and facilitate the Ambassadors in successfully completing their tasks in promoting bilateral relations in the coming time.

Expressing delight at the tremendous development achievements of Africa, including the countries of the Ambassadors, Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan expressed confidence that African countries, together with the African Union (AU), will increasingly have a voice and an important position in regional and international forums, and contribute more to building a just, integrated, and prosperous world .

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister affirmed that the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs is ready to support and facilitate the Ambassadors in successfully fulfilling their duties in promoting bilateral relations in the coming period.

Expressing pleasure at the fact that despite the geographical distance, the traditional friendship between Vietnam and African countries has been continuously nurtured and strengthened by the leaders and people of both sides, achieving encouraging results that benefit both sides in recent times, the Deputy Minister also expressed Vietnam's pride that, with its strengths and experience, especially in the fields of agriculture, telecommunications, and education, it has always been ready to share difficulties and make practical contributions to the Agenda 2063 that African countries are striving to implement.

Affirming that further deepening the traditional friendly cooperative relationship with friendly African countries has always been one of the priorities in Vietnam's foreign policy, the Deputy Minister reviewed a series of recent visits by high-level leaders from both sides and was pleased to note that these visits were successful, opening up many new opportunities for cooperation in politics, diplomacy, trade, and investment. On this occasion, the Deputy Minister thanked the brotherly African nations for their support and trust in multilateral forums and international organizations, especially at the United Nations, in recent times.

The Deputy Minister affirmed that further deepening the traditional friendly cooperative relationship with friendly African countries has always been one of the priorities in Vietnam's foreign policy.

Regarding the economic sector, the Deputy Minister stated that the potential for strengthening cooperation in economics, trade, and investment is still very large compared to the scale and growth rate of both sides. Congratulating the Ambassadors on their effective exchanges and interactions with major Vietnamese businesses interested in cooperating with Africa at the "Meet Africa 2025" event organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on December 11th, the Deputy Minister expressed confidence that with effective cooperation measures, policies, and mechanisms, both sides can better exploit the existing potential and strengths of each side in the future.

During the meeting, the non-resident African Ambassadors expressed their gratitude for the warm and cordial reception from the high-ranking leaders and the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in organizing the presentation of their credentials; they expressed admiration for Vietnam's remarkable socio-economic development as well as its role and position in the region and the world, especially after 40 years of Doi Moi (Renovation); and noted that many African countries consider Vietnam a model of development and integration to learn from. On this occasion, the Ambassadors agreed that it is necessary to further strengthen the good friendship and cooperation through high-level delegation exchanges and the implementation of commitments made in the past. They expressed their hope that Vietnam would continue to support African countries in agricultural development, ensuring food security, and enhancing cooperation in promising areas such as trade, investment, mining, infrastructure construction, aviation, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges, as well as continue to support each other more in multilateral forums and mechanisms in the future.

On the same day, the Ambassadors had productive exchanges and interactions with major Vietnamese businesses interested in cooperating with Africa at the "Meet Africa 2025" event organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
