The movement to promote learning and talent development in the North Central provinces continues to grow.

On the morning of December 13th, the Vietnam Association for the Promotion of Learning (VBA) collaborated with the Thanh Hoa Provincial VBA to organize a meeting of the Group 4 emulation conference for the promotion of learning in the North Central provinces for the year 2025.

Attending the conference were Comrade Nguyen Hong Son, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology; representatives of the leadership of several departments and agencies of Thanh Hoa province; and leaders of the Associations for the Promotion of Science and Technology from Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Tri provinces.

In 2025, the emulation movement to promote learning and talent development, and build a learning society in the North Central provinces will continue to be maintained and developed in all aspects of its activities. The quality of the associations and members will be improved, with the entire region currently having over 3 million members, of which the Thanh Hoa Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning alone attracts more than 1.1 million members.

Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning, Head of Emulation Cluster No. 4, Vuong Van Viet, delivered the opening speech at the conference.

During the year, the associations at all levels in the cluster mobilized more than 450 billion VND to build scholarship funds, and organized awards for hundreds of thousands of students, teachers who achieved outstanding results in teaching and learning; and underprivileged students who overcame difficulties and excelled in their studies.

Specifically, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning awarded scholarships to 90,680 students with a total amount of nearly 59 billion VND; provided support to 110,953 students with an amount exceeding 58.3 billion VND; and presented awards to 241,482 students with an amount exceeding 69.2 billion VND. The Nghe An Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning awarded scholarships and awards to over 189,300 students with an amount exceeding 105 billion VND. The Ha Tinh Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning awarded scholarships and awards to 77,430 students and teachers with an amount exceeding 35.4 billion VND...

Along with the above activities, the local branches of the Association for the Promotion of Learning in the cluster have promoted the movement to build a learning society, developing learning models such as: "Learning Family", "Learning Clan", "Learning Unit", "Learning Citizen"... in accordance with Decision No. 387/QD-TTg and Decision No. 677/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, with many positive results.

At the conference, delegates exchanged and shared experiences, initiatives, and innovative approaches from various localities; analyzed and pointed out difficulties and obstacles that need to be overcome in order to further improve the effectiveness of promoting learning and talent development, and building a learning society in the coming years.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Hong Son, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for the Promotion of Learning, highly appreciated the emulation work of the Association for the Promotion of Learning in the North Central provinces and requested that the Associations for the Promotion of Learning in the region continue to promote propaganda, improve the quality of all aspects of activities promoting learning and talent, and build a learning society; pay attention to implementing the learning models according to Decision No. 387/QD-TTg and Decision No. 677/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister; actively promote digital transformation in the activities of promoting learning; and mobilize organizations and individuals to participate in building the scholarship fund so that more high-achieving students and poor but studious students can be rewarded and supported with scholarships. This will contribute to the development of education and training, creating human resources for socio-economic development goals in each locality.
