On this occasion, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang expressed her pleasure at the recent positive developments in the Middle East, such as the ceasefire agreement reached in the Gaza Strip and the increasing number of countries recognizing the State of Palestine.
The Deputy Minister affirmed that Vietnam has consistently and strongly supported the two-state solution, including the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state based on the pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international law and relevant United Nations resolutions. The Deputy Minister emphasized that, to the best of its ability, Vietnam is ready to continue providing humanitarian assistance and participating in the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip when conditions permit.
