They also requested citizens to strictly comply with the regulations and guidelines of the local authorities and maintain contact with Vietnamese representative agencies in Cambodia and Thailand.

"According to the latest information we have received from Vietnamese representative agencies in Thailand and Cambodia, most Vietnamese citizens in this area have been evacuated to safe areas, far from the conflict zone, and in accordance with the instructions of the local authorities," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson said.

Ms. Pham Thu Hang also added that, in light of the current developments, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has consulted with relevant authorities to accurately assess the situation and instructed Vietnamese representative agencies in the host country to monitor the situation, proactively maintain close contact with local authorities and key contacts within the Vietnamese community to gather information and prepare necessary consular protection plans.

Regarding the protection of Vietnamese citizens, the spokesperson stated that, as in previous instances of providing information and answering reporters' questions on this matter in all cases and regions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has hotlines at Vietnamese representative offices in host countries, as well as a hotline at the Consular Department for the protection of Vietnamese citizens.
