Presenting the Consular Acceptance Certificate to the Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City

On November 3, Director of the Consular Department Doan Hoang Minh presented the Consular Acceptance Certificate to Ms. Raissa Anais Marteaux, the new Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director Doan Hoang Minh congratulated Ms. Raissa Anais Marteaux on her new position, believing that with her experience in the fields of diplomacy , investment and trade, the new Consul General will contribute to further promoting the Vietnam - Netherlands Comprehensive Partnership in general and consular relations in particular.

The Director of the Consular Department emphasized that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as Vietnamese authorities will continue to accompany the Consulate General and create conditions for the new Consul General to successfully complete his term of office in Vietnam.

Director Doan Hoang Minh suggested that the Netherlands continue to facilitate exchanges and travel between the two countries and actively cooperate in priority areas such as economics, trade, investment, water resources management, climate change response, high-tech agriculture, people-to-people exchange, and education and training.

New Dutch Consul General Raissa Anais Marteaux thanked Director Doan Hoang Minh for taking the time to receive her and hand over the Consular Acceptance Certificate. Delighted with the positive developments in bilateral relations, Ms. Raissa Anais Marteaux highly appreciated the support that Vietnamese authorities have given to the Dutch representative agencies and Dutch citizens in Vietnam.

She affirmed that she will make every effort to promote bilateral relations in many areas of mutual interest, including consular cooperation.
