At the meetings, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Hang informed about the socio- economic development situation and some development orientations of Vietnam in the coming time. Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang affirmed Vietnam's determination to achieve the GDP growth target of 8% in 2025 and double-digit growth in the following years.

To achieve this goal, in addition to traditional areas of cooperation such as trade and investment, Vietnam wishes to cooperate with partners in the fields of digital transformation, science and technology development, innovation, green transformation, etc. towards sustainable and inclusive development.

Pleased to meet with GCC Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang affirmed that Vietnam attaches importance to multifaceted cooperation with GCC countries, and suggested that the two sides increase exchanges and promote negotiations on the Vietnam-GCC Free Trade Agreement (FTA), thereby increasing bilateral trade and investment turnover, in line with the vision and development orientation of the two sides.

In order to better exploit the potential and strengths of Vietnam and GCC countries, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang suggested that the two sides expand cooperation in the fields of energy, Halal industry, and people-to-people exchange...

Agreeing with Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang, GCC Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi expressed his impression of Vietnam's achievements after 40 years of implementing the renovation process; highly appreciated Vietnam's development orientation and goals.

Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi affirmed his support for promoting negotiations on the Vietnam-GCC FTA, while expanding cooperation between Vietnam and the Secretariat and GCC countries, including the early implementation of the cooperation agreement between the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the GCC Secretariat.

Impressed by Vietnam's achievements in economic and social development, especially after personally accompanying the King and Queen of Bhutan to visit Vietnam (August 2025), Minister of Foreign Affairs and Commerce of Bhutan DN Dhungyel affirmed that Bhutan highly values ​​its relationship with Vietnam and thanked the Vietnamese leaders and people for the warm and thoughtful welcome given to the King, Queen and people of Bhutan.

Minister DN Dhungyel said that the two countries still have a lot of room for cooperation; agreed to strengthen bilateral relations in the coming time, focusing on a number of potential areas such as tourism, investment, business connection, etc.

In a discussion with Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Trade Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Sayed, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang affirmed that the Vietnam-Qatar relationship is being raised to a new level, especially after the official visit to Qatar by Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh (October 2024). The Deputy Minister suggested that the two sides promote early negotiations on the Vietnam-GCC FTA; strengthen cooperation in the fields of investment, trade, Halal industry, business connection, etc.

Agreeing with these comments, Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Trade Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Sayed highlighted the potential for cooperation in the investment field, encouraged trade promotion activities between the two countries, and emphasized that Qatar could be a gateway for Vietnamese businesses to cooperate with GCC countries.

The two sides also agreed to promote the organization of the 3rd meeting of the Vietnam-Qatar Joint Committee in the first quarter of 2026.

At the meeting with Deputy Minister in charge of International Relations, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development of Saudi Arabia Tariq Alhamad, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang emphasized the importance of bringing the bilateral relations between the two countries to a new cooperation framework, in accordance with the new position and strength of the two sides, contributing to concretizing the commitments of the two countries' senior leaders.

Deputy Minister Tariq Alhamad affirmed that the relationship between the two countries is developing very well, with a lot of potential and level of cooperation. Informing about the working environment in Saudi Arabia and policies towards foreign workers, Deputy Minister Tariq Alhamad proposed that the two sides continue to coordinate and actively negotiate towards signing cooperation agreements in the coming time, including an agreement on recruiting Vietnamese workers to work in Saudi Arabia.

On this occasion, Deputy Minister Tariq Alhamad respectfully invited Vietnam to send representatives to attend the Global Labor Market Conference, scheduled to be held in Riyadh from January 26-27, 2026.
