In particular, the number of tourists to the province concentrated from April 30 to May 2 (1-2 star hotels and equivalent reached room occupancy rates of about 70 - 80%, 3-5 star resorts and equivalent reached room occupancy rates of approximately 90 - 95%).
If the mainland has the attraction of relaxation, Phu Quy is the destination for experience. At the time, Phu Quy is most beautiful in the year when the weather is favorable, the wind is calm and the sea is clear, suitable for tourists from near and far to visit and experience.
Inland waterway transportation between Phan Thiet and Phu Quy currently has 3 high-speed passenger boats and 8 cargo ships, basically meeting the needs of travel and transporting goods between the mainland and the island. Phu Quy Island has become an attractive sea-island destination of the whole country in recent years. During the holiday from April 30 to May 4, Phu Quy welcomed nearly 10,000 tourists. Room occupancy rate at accommodation areas reached over 90%. Particularly, hotels and motels along the coast of Tam Thanh, Ngu Phung and Long Hai communes were fully booked by tourists 1 month in advance.
