Khanh Hoa tourism finishes 3 months early

Following the National Day holiday on September 2nd, which is typically a low season for tourism , Khanh Hoa province still receives a stable number of international visitors. Currently, there are more than 30 international flights daily, including nearly 20 from cities in South Korea, followed by China, Kazakhstan, etc., to Khanh Hoa province. The province's tourism industry has proactively sought out new sources of tourists from markets such as India and Taiwan (China).

The International Bay of Lights Festival is a new tourism product of Khanh Hoa province.

Ms. Le Thi Hong Minh, Director of Cam Ranh International Airport Terminal, said that thanks to effective promotion and marketing by travel agencies in neighboring countries, and favorable procedures for opening new routes, tourists have chosen Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa as their destination: "Airlines bringing tourists here also want to ensure that the volume and quality of services provided are increasingly affirmed. Khanh Hoa - Nha Trang is highly rated by airlines because it is affordable. With the goal of tightening tourist spending, Khanh Hoa has a unique advantage: the most suitable service prices and an abundant number of accommodation facilities."

Beaches and islands continue to be a popular choice for many tourists.

To date, Khanh Hoa province has welcomed over 5.5 million domestic tourists, a 30% increase compared to the same period last year. The smooth operation of highways connecting southern provinces to Khanh Hoa facilitates family-style tourism. Mr. Bui Quang Vu, from Ho Chi Minh City, commented: "Tourists come to Nha Trang not only for its beautiful beaches and islands but also for its reasonable service prices. I find Nha Trang very beautiful to visit, and most importantly, the prices are stable and not much higher than Ho Chi Minh City. The hotel I stayed in cost only 400,000 VND per night, which is very reasonable. This time it was a bit crowded, with some traffic jams."

In 2023, Khanh Hoa province welcomed 7.2 million tourists; in 2024, Khanh Hoa province aims to welcome 9 million tourists, with tourism revenue of 40,000 billion VND. By the end of September this year, the province's tourism industry had completed its annual plan; including more than 3.5 million foreign tourists.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Tourism, affirmed that the growth in the number of tourists and revenue is primarily due to the efforts in developing tourism products. From the beginning of the year, Khanh Hoa province has implemented many tourism promotion and marketing activities and organized large-scale events attracting many tourists, such as the "Sea Tourism Festival" and the "Nha Trang International Bay of Light 2024" festival. Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh added: "The tourism industry has strived and the business community has joined hands in developing tourism products and services for tourists. Fortunately, the weather has been favorable, creating very good conditions for tourism development. The Department of Tourism will launch initiatives to exceed the target of welcoming 10 million tourists by the end of the year."

Khanh Hoa province offers a diverse range of cultural products to serve tourists.

At the end of September, Khanh Hoa province will organize a delegation to promote investment, trade, and tourism in South Korea, thereby promoting the image of Vietnam, especially Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism. In early October, Khanh Hoa province will organize activities and events to announce that the province has reached 9 million tourist arrivals, launch a tourism stimulus program themed "Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism, Come and Love," and simultaneously implement a promotional program with discounts and promotions across accommodation and tourism service businesses during the last three months of the year.

Over the past nearly four years of implementing the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress, the tourism industry of Khanh Hoa province has made a significant contribution to achieving the local economic development targets and tasks. In the past four years, Khanh Hoa province's GRDP is estimated to have increased by an average of 8.9% per year.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, said that the departments and localities are preparing to organize tourism events in 2025, continuing to maintain the growth momentum: "We did very well in the two recent festivals, ensuring development. In the past twenty years, Khanh Hoa province only achieved 15 world records, but in just two nights we achieved two world records, which shows great determination. The province is currently completing the procedures to report to the Central Government, considering these festivals as exclusive to Khanh Hoa province. In 2025, the departments and agencies must prepare early, specifically on April 2nd, the 50th anniversary of liberation, and around June 10th, the Sea Festival, so that we can continue to develop tourism," Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan said.
