Many craft villages clustered in close proximity create golden routes for cultural tourism . For example, within a radius of about 15 kilometers in the southern districts of Hanoi, there are numerous craft villages such as Quat Dong embroidery (Thuong Tin), Chuon Ngo mother-of-pearl inlay (Phu Xuyen), Trach Xa ao dai (Ung Hoa), interspersed with famous historical sites such as Dau Pagoda, Boi Khe Pagoda, or Cuu village, which preserves many prominent scholarly families from the past.

Artists, art researchers, and fashion designers have flocked to Trach Xa or Quat Dong to try and revive traditional ao dai dresses and ancient embroidery patterns that were once thought to be lost.

Traditional craft villages like Dai Bai bronze casting or Dong Ky wood carving in Bac Ninh are located near national treasure temples such as But Thap Pagoda, Dau Pagoda, or Phat Tich Pagoda. Villages specializing in statue carving, such as Bao Ha (Vinh Bao, Hai Phong), or Dong Xam silver engraving (Kien Xuong, Thai Binh), are connected to pilgrimage routes to community religious centers.

In the Northwest mountainous region, tourist areas in Mai Chau (Hoa Binh) have become popular with visitors due to their well-developed homestay accommodations and the experience of visiting traditional Muong ethnic villages specializing in brocade weaving. In the southernmost part of Central Vietnam, the brocade weaving village of the Cham people in My Nghiep (Ninh Thuan) is located near the Bau Truc pottery village and not far from the Po Klong Garai Cham Tower, creating a unique cultural experience.

Traditional craft villages have survived in modern life by gradually finding ways to transform themselves into less polluting, profitable, and creatively inspiring communities. These villages are still frequently mentioned today thanks to their products being used in daily life and, especially, because of the connection between specialized research in industrial design and tourism economics, forming the three pillars of new prosperity.
