(PLVN) - Sam Son City aims to welcome 9.68 million tourists in 2025, serve 19.9 million visitor-days, and generate an estimated 21 trillion VND in tourism revenue.

Sam Son City aims to welcome 9.68 million tourists by 2025, serve 19.9 million visitor-days, and generate an estimated tourism revenue of 21 trillion VND.
Báo Pháp Luật Việt Nam•10/12/2024On the morning of December 10th, Sam Son City, Thanh Hoa province, held a conference to summarize tourism activities in 2024 and to implement tasks for the development of Sam Son tourism in 2025.
According to a report by the People's Committee of Sam Son City, in 2024, Sam Son tourism continued to affirm its leading position in the province, as an attractive, friendly, and safe destination for tourists. Accordingly, in 2024, Sam Son City welcomed 8.86 million visitors, equivalent to 109.3% compared to the same period and 104.3% of the plan; served 17.27 million visitor-days, equivalent to 109.6% compared to the same period and 104.7% of the plan. Total revenue from tourism reached 17.1 trillion VND, equivalent to 140.6% compared to the same period and 108.8% of the plan.
Building on the achievements of 2024, Sam Son City aims to welcome 9.68 million visitors in 2025, serving 19.9 million visitor-days; with estimated tourism revenue reaching 21 trillion VND. Simultaneously, to develop Sam Son into a city of festivals, a high-end entertainment and recreation center, and a leading health and wellness tourism destination in the North Central region, Sam Son City is striving to implement key tasks and solutions to further affirm its leading position in the province as an attractive, friendly, and safe destination for tourists.

To realize the above objectives, Sam Son City will focus on implementing comprehensive solutions, strengthening the effectiveness and efficiency of state management in the tourism service sector; diversifying products to attract tourists and extend the duration of tourism activities; improving the quality of propaganda, promotion, and human resources, aiming to create a strong breakthrough in tourism quality by 2025. At the same time, the city will continue to strengthen inspection, supervision, and enforcement efforts, detecting and resolutely handling violations, especially those related to coercing tourists into food and accommodation, price gouging, and resisting law enforcement officers.
In the last months of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, Sam Son will carry out urban beautification work, clearing out shops and kiosks encroaching on sidewalks according to the commercial arrangement plan; and will implement mechanisms and policies to encourage businesses to renovate, upgrade, and improve their facilities to serve tourists...
According to Mr. Le Van Tu, Chairman of the Sam Son City People's Committee, in 2025, the city will accelerate the development of tourism in the South with various types of resort tourism, culinary areas serving tourists, etc.; creating favorable conditions for domestic and foreign businesses to invest in tourism infrastructure, especially entertainment services and high-end restaurants.

Speaking at the conference, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Van Thi, stated: "To further build upon the achievements, the Sam Son City People's Committee needs to continue focusing on developing infrastructure and technical facilities to serve tourism, while simultaneously promoting administrative reform and creating a favorable investment environment to attract strategic investors and businesses with strong brands. The locality needs to support investors during the implementation process to accelerate the progress of key projects, and to quickly establish large-scale, high-class, nationally and internationally recognized integrated tourism service areas..."
