Meanwhile, the lowest-scoring indicators for Vietnam's tourism industry this year are service infrastructure with 2.2 points, ranking 80th, and the socio -economic impact of tourism with only 2.95 points, ranking 115th, second to last in the ranking.
The World Economic Forum's (WEF) biennial tourism development index is based on five main groups: operating environment, policies and support conditions, infrastructure, drivers of tourism demand, and tourism sustainability. These five indicators are divided into 17 areas for scoring, such as security and safety; health and hygiene; open policies; tourism infrastructure and transportation. The 2024 ranking was conducted by the WEF with 119 countries and territories.
