Stopping at a red light to buy a lottery ticket, a girl from Ho Chi Minh City won the 16 billion VND jackpot.

According to the owner of a lottery ticket agency in Ho Chi Minh City, a young female customer unexpectedly won tens of billions of VND after buying lottery tickets to support street vendors.

Speaking to Tri Thức - Zne ws, Ms. Đoàn Thùy Dương, the owner of a lottery ticket agency in Thủ Dầu Một ward (Ho Chi Minh City), said that on the morning of May 25th, she had just redeemed a pack of 8 lottery tickets that won the grand prize worth over 16 billion VND for a young female customer.

According to Ms. Duong, the winner was a first-time customer at the lottery agency. Previously, on May 23rd, on her way home from work, the young woman stopped at a red light and saw an elderly woman selling lottery tickets in the sun, so she bought 12 tickets to support her.

"She said that when she bought the lottery ticket, she only thought about helping the lottery vendor sell it quickly so she could go home early, but she didn't expect to win big when she checked the results that afternoon," Ms. Duong recounted.

Of the 12 lottery tickets purchased, 8 won the grand prize, each worth 2 billion VND , totaling 16 billion VND . In addition, the remaining 4 tickets won consolation prizes of 50 million VND each, bringing the total prize value to approximately 16.2 billion VND .

The lottery agent added that the girl won the jackpot in the draw on the afternoon of May 23rd, with the special prize number sequence being 121910. The consolation prize number sequence was 821910.

According to the agency owner, after receiving the prize, the female customer also sent an additional 50 million VND to the agency to help buy rice to donate to needy people during the upcoming seventh lunar month.

Previously, Ms. Duong also redeemed a prize for a young man born in 2000 who won the 18 billion VND jackpot, after he used all 80,000 VND in his wallet to buy tickets to support the lottery vendor.
