The road to school is getting shorter.

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - The length of the road to school is partly determined by distance and partly by the circumstances and mindset of the student. Following efforts to "bridge the gap to school," many organizations and individuals are making education in disadvantaged areas and for many students from difficult circumstances a brighter future.

The road to school is getting shorter.

First, it must be reiterated and emphasized that Thanh Hoa province recently decided to build and renovate 21 schools with a total investment of 1,590 billion VND to improve the quality of teaching and learning for students in border areas, creating a strong ripple effect throughout the province. This decision not only shortens the distance to school for many students in particularly disadvantaged areas, but also allows the students and their parents to feel the profound, practical, and humane concern from the Party and State's policies and programs for education .

To make the new school year more meaningful, with the involvement of all levels of government, over the past few days many organizations and individuals have organized charitable trips to disadvantaged areas and areas affected by natural disasters to provide relief to the people, donate gifts to students in difficult circumstances, and help them have more books, school supplies, and bicycles to get to school... Many students with particularly difficult circumstances have also been awarded scholarships and gifts of greater value. In many schools in mountainous areas that were flooded, immediately after the water receded, local authorities and local task forces volunteered to clean up, repair classrooms, and fix desks and chairs in time for the start of the new school year...

These efforts aim to ensure that students are not disadvantaged, with the opening ceremony drums resounding simultaneously from schools in remote border areas or flood-affected regions on September 5th, in line with the unified directive on the opening ceremony of the new school year nationwide set forth by the Government this year.

Perhaps the relief convoys and aid packages from organizations and individuals haven't reached all the disadvantaged areas and those in need. It's also possible that these gifts are insufficient to meet the enormous actual needs of the children. But beyond the mere material value of bicycles, scholarships, and school supplies, what truly matters is the giving of love and the demonstration of social responsibility for a community with equitable access to knowledge.

Despite numerous difficulties, especially regarding school infrastructure, and the severe challenges posed by recent natural disasters, we are confident that when the opening bell of this year's school year rings, the path to school will become smoother and closer for many disadvantaged students and those in remote areas.

Furthermore, we believe that this path will continue to be built upon in the future by the adequate investment and attention of the Party, the State, and generous hearts. Because we all deeply understand that the path to school for students in disadvantaged areas is the path to a brighter future for communities that are still suffering from hardship and adversity.
