The lawsuit alleges that the billionaire failed to comply with a contractual agreement with employees fired after the $44 billion acquisition of Twitter in October 2022.
Specifically, Musk is accused of owing $128 million in severance pay. The lawsuit also says Musk intentionally made things difficult for former employees by "repeatedly refusing to honor clear contractual commitments."
Lawyers also claim that Musk and X Corp have "made life difficult for employees, landlords, supply partners and many others" since they took over Twitter.
“Musk refuses to pay his debts, insists the rules do not apply to him, and uses his wealth and power to bully anyone who disagrees with him,” Agrawal’s lawyer added.
This isn’t the only severance-related lawsuit Musk and X Corp are facing. The billionaire is also facing a series of lawsuits from former employees, partners, and contractors, with claims totaling up to $500 million.
