The lawsuit alleges that the billionaire failed to comply with a settlement agreement with employees laid off following his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter in October 2022.
Specifically, Musk is accused of owing $128 million in severance pay. The lawsuit also alleges that Musk intentionally made things difficult for former employees by "repeatedly refusing to honor clear contractual obligations."
The lawyers also argued that Musk and X Corp had "made things difficult for employees, landlords, suppliers, and many others" since they took over Twitter.
"Musk refused to pay his debts, while also asserting that the rules did not apply to him. Musk also used his wealth and power to treat anyone who disagreed with him brutally," Agrawal's lawyer added.
This isn't the only lawsuit related to severance pay that Musk and X Corp are facing. The billionaire is also facing a series of lawsuits from former employees, partners, and contractors, with claims for damages totaling up to $500 million.
