The match between Chelsea and Ajax quickly heated up with controversial situations. In the 15th minute, midfielder Kenneth Taylor (Ajax) made a dangerous tackle that forced the referee to consult VAR.

After reviewing the video, the initial yellow card decision was replaced by a straight red card in the 17th minute, leaving Ajax playing with one man down from the start.

In the second half, Chelsea still maintained their dominant position. In the 48th minute, young player Tyrique George fired a shot from the edge of the penalty area, the ball hit the defender's foot and changed direction, sealing a 5-1 victory for "The Blues".
